Good for you. More women need to be shown the door. I perfected my own assholism skills in the navy probably from being cooped up with 139 other assholes on a Polaris submarine for 10 weeks at a time. Then also when ashore we would engage in giant gang fights with the crews of the other submarines in our squadron out in Guam. Then also we all preferred whores to nice girls. Nice girls are virtually totally useless in my considered opinion. It also helps to get drunk frequently.

My favorite line when I want to get out of a bad date is "I'll be right back." Go out and leave and she'll be waiting for 15 minutes for me to come back. Of course I come early, order, pay for what I ordered before she comes in the door. Then when I leave she's responsible for her order.

31:00 - As a childless debt-free African-American male with residual income I whole heartedly agree. The defintion of good and evil is a balance/imbalance between control and responsibility. You can not relinquish responsibility without giving up control. Accept responsibility and take control. Simple equation, every potential head of household should be making one thousand dollars for every year of life. Add to that 25 thousand dollars for every other potential family member. And that's the base (ass end) amount you need to survive. Don't make that kinda bread? Then don't make (or get with single mothers with) kids you can't afford. That equation has saved me a lot of heart ache and helped secure my retirement at 50 years old. #Facts

I'm presently in a situation where here I am being a nice guy helping some old boomer out, and the old boomer is taking advantage of me. I said he could put a couple of utility trailers on my property, and here come three trailers piled high with scrap metal. I say he can use an empty bay in my workshop to fix stuff, and here comes piles if shit. I can get him to clear shit out, but if I turn my back for a couple of weeks he does it again. Now I'm in asshole mode. And I'm going to be plopping a vehicle right in his little workspace that he acts like is his. I get more respect when I put my foot down, but if I don't, or am too busy working to even bring it up, I get taken advantage of. Bottom line is, when you are nice, you get fucked. Especially with these boomers. So I fuck people back. And then they respect me. Appears that's how they want to play this game.

It was my late cousin Mike from the Irish side of the family who first inspired me to strive to perfect my assholism. Back during the Vietnam war when he was a sailor if he was walking around in his dress blue crackerjacks and a some hippies jeered him by saying “make love not war” he’d beat the shit out them just to keep in practice. While stationed at Guantanamo Bay he clobbered another sailor with a fire extinguisher during a race riot on the base there, a common occurrence at that time in the fleet. So he got locked up and put on a diet of bread and water. He also sped constantly while driving a car. Then of course he was a heavy smoker and drinker. I can only hope that I’ve managed to live up to his standards now that he’s no longer here to show the way.

If self-employed, can you be an asshole in customer service and still gain business? I think our country and likely other, although I can't apeak for them remains in the whole play nice routine is largely because of the nature of our jobs. If everyone was an asshole there would be much more chaos in the world, atleast for a while until it stabilized and became the new culture. We are likely on the verge of more chaos anyways though already because niceity just creates more internal tension for each individual. Eventually that tension has to come out somewhere or explode.

ATHF began by trying to have plot like a meta, more surreal Scooby Doo. By the 3rd episode its irony and mostly sardonic humor was the clear appeal and they dropped the detective shtick to focus on absurdist writing and visual gags, where cartoons shine like no other medium. Venture Bros never detached itself from being meta scuffed adult Johnny Quest, and I mean that as a compliment. It's been more literal and good at what it does, before falling off. If that is your preference then enjoy tf out of it, but cartoons have been done better.

CLAREY YOU TOTALLY MISSED HIS POINT. You somewhat answered his question indirectly, but you did not give it justice. Imagine going full gunny Hartman in full metal jacket when Leonard needed to know if he was just getting tough love or unnecessary cruelty. Being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole isn't the answer. Yes. It is an art. Yes. It requires you to practice not giving shit. No. It is not always the best thing to do. Yes. It IS somewhat age sensitive. You have to know what you're talking about. You have to have experience. And you can't go too far. Again. YOU MISSED THIS ONE BY A LONG SHOT. I feel for this guy cuz, it's tough to be a heartless prick to someone you care about just to get your point across.
