I’m going to add a new pinned comment while I work on responding to some comments! I explained this in multiple comments but I’m in no way trying to shade people who buy followers or engagement. It happens and there’s nothing wrong with it at all. I know that it’s 1000% an ever-changing algorithm issue (especially with IG. 😭) But I still wanted to make a section about buying followers and engagement to help smaller influencers not feel so discouraged about their numbers! Through my PR work, I’ve seen bigger influencers with accounts that have more than 60% bots as followers. No shade but also not a statistic that should be ignored, especially for people just starting! The influencing world is insane and I just wanted to help others not feel so discouraged about their numbers. Hope that helps clear anything up! All love here in this Table Talk community. 💞

I also work in the industry! Anyone who buys followers we can see on the back-end. If their authenticity is less then 70% we don't hire them!! I spend millions for top entertainment companies every year hiring influencers. The money is there, but we are very diligent with who we choose. Can't lose our clients by hiring poor performing influencers.

One thing i've learned recently is that marketing is heart of business. Companies will spend an absurd amount of money for it. Influencers are basically marketers. What's even better is that they're video marketers, the best form of marketing available right now. That's why they make stupid amounts of money. If you really look into this you'll realise everyone who's regular and is making money right now is basically marketing for some company. Also another thing i've come to realise is that any of my friends that studied marketing are making a fortune right now

I’ve only taken a handful of marketing classes! I have a degree in fashion merchandising and minor in journalism/digital media so it’s funny to see how I’m freelancing full-time now and not really following the traditional route haha but yes I agree, the amount of money that I’ve seen going into ads and PR events is absolutely insane!

This is a great video BUT getting a small amount of likes compared to your followers isnt ALWAYS a sign of buying followers. Instagram(facebook) has the worst algorithm ever. So if you arent using their platform the way they want you to, they will cut who they expose your content to (20-30% of your followers) instead of the normal 60-70%

Hi! Just found your channel and loved this video. I'm at that stage when I'm starting to get some fun emails at the beginning of each month. It's very hard not to get carried away when people are wanting to give you stuff and paying you on top of it. It's insane to me how much brands are willing to pay for 60 seconds or 90 seconds of space in your video. My channel will turn 2 in October and it's been a crazy ride. Here's what I learned as far as creating a community: always answer as many comments as you possibly can. I love that part and I find that people really react to you doing it. Also, be as true to yourself as you possibly can be, it shows! As for the videos I make, things completely exploded the moment I stopped making videos for the results I thought I would get and started creating videos that really reaaalllyy excited me to make. Again, your enthusiasm shows! As far as sponsors go, know your worth is definitely the best tip, I agree. Most of them just want to use you for as little money as possible. I always negotiate both the payment AND the contract. So far, it has worked our for me and it helps me decide if I want to work with them. Brands that don't budge an inch aren't worth my time AND I find that the ones who want to pay you the less are the harder to work with in all aspects so... But I guess the most important lesson I learned is to keep it simple. I thought I had to put all this value into my videos and show how much I knew about the subject when, in fact, people just want to be entertained. And complicated, over explained stuff is not entertaining, as it turns out! Keep up the good work everyone, best of luck!
@inthegreatwide5 ай бұрын
8:17 YES thank you for showing your rates! This is so, so helpful! I wonder if you could expand on what you mean by exclusivity rights and what kinds of charges you would look at for that and ad usage, plus what kinds of time limitations you would put on things like that. The point you made about putting your email in your IG bio is also good to know because we've always just had ours in our link in bio but we will have to rethink that now. Other random question: Have you ever agreed to a brand deal and then not liked the product? How would you handle that?

11:53 I believe you have done your job! You have literally inspired me 💗 My thing is that I wanna be an influencer but I also love to make F1 Content because it’s one of the things I like the most, so I am looking for a mid term/balance between them

My day job is a full time influencer. The thing is I don't wanna stick with just one type of content. It's such a struggle.
@Angelallaround2 ай бұрын
I struggle with this too, it’s hard to choose a niche
@jessyyyyc2 ай бұрын
that’s why I just rotate between my 3 niches (fashion, beauty, lifestyle) that way my audience knows that I like to do a bit of everything so they’re not surprised!

this was so useful, please do more content like this!! how can i check my engagement rate? what software do companies use to check this?
@jessyyyyc6 ай бұрын
I wonder what video I should create next on this topic 🧐 I can’t disclose what software my company uses but here’s a simple formula for engagement rate: Total likes, comments, shares, saves in a 30 day period divided by total followers then multiply by 100% Hope that helps!

You hope that I was able to find something helpful? This whole video was helpful! I struggle so much with understanding what’s fair pricing and even approaching brands so this really helps me understand and have an idea of what to do to reach out. Love the transparency, thank you for taking the time to do this.

I watched your video yesterday. Can you also make a video on how to actually gain these followers to begin with? I hate advertising. It's not my cup of tea. But right now don't have the money to hire someone to do the advertising either, so how do I get organic followers?

Does every creator have to have an instagram account? Or can people be successful sticking to one platform? Obviously more online presence on different platforms can only be a positive for one’s reach, but I was just curious if brands always expect to look at ig and other social media accounts or if just adding your email in a KZbin video/short is enough. Thanks for your transparency in this video btw! Your voice is so comforting ☺️
@jessyyyyc5 ай бұрын
From my personal experience, I found that having an extra account definitely helps! Ex: I’m most active on KZbin and IG and find myself getting emails from brands requesting work on both platforms. So while you should exhaust yourself trying to upkeep every platform, you should definitely try at least two! (Thank you for your support btw 🤍)
