maybe a little off topic but I think you should keep recording videos "horizontally" as in this one, since it's a lot more enjoyable to watch instead of if it was taken with the phone standing vertically

I can absolutely do that!

Hey Nick! I know this is off topic here but I’m new to the channel here and Ive been dealing with anxiety for about a month or so. I want to ask that when we are dealing with an ear worm, do we let it stay in our head and accept it and just continue with what we’re doing? My brain also tries to convince me that I won’t be able to sleep tonight because this song will keep me awake tonight, so I start fearing again. Thanks for your work and help!

Hey Belinda! Yes! That's a major part of it, we need to address the underlying beliefs/ any avoidance etc. whilst allowing the ear worm to do its worst.

Bro u said in ur videos that trying to be in present can be problem but for example i have sensorymotor ocd if i do not try to just focus on my thing whatevrr i am doing i am goona stuck in sensations automatically So is it like just living ur life and leting all sensations into background and let it distract u but u should still have focus on what ur doing and trying to be confirtable with background stuff
@OCDrecoveryNick2 сағат бұрын
Hey Kesha - So any rules on 'focus' is the primary issue. As sensorimotor sufferers we don't like having the answer to 'what's the correct amount of focus'.
@keshavmehta63052 сағат бұрын
@@OCDrecoveryNick but u still have to try ur best to just do ur thing and letting sensations in background like it's blasting in background 90 percent intensity but I can still have my 10 percent on what I am doing other wise it's panic attack

@@keshavmehta6305hey, i used to have/still have a bit of sensorimotor (a lot less since implementing all the advice in the videos) and what helped me the most was accepting that the sensation might be there forever and actually feeling it as if it were there to stay forever (needless to say if it was forever i would just accept it and live with it). this was key to sensorimotor recovery. and i didn’t even have a 1-2-1 regarding sensorimotor (though i had 1-2-1s about other things) i just binged nick’s sensorimotor videos lol. don’t worry there’s a lot of content and it’s very helpful! good luck 🩵
