Do you notice a difference in final consistency than the blender method? When I make my seamoss in the blender it is always so thick not like applesauce. I may need more water. Thank you for the video, your page is one of the better ones out here.
@GoodFoodBaddie Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I think the boil method makes it super thick. At least it has been the times I’ve made it. With the cold blender method, you can always add more water to get a thinner consistency.

I believe that when you boil the sea moss it kills the nutrients it has to offer kinda like over boiling vegetables. Your better off soaking it for a day or 2 & add spring water to a blender & send it till you get the same consistency you would a boil

Boiling does not kill minerals !

Did you use the same water that you soaked it in to boil the sea moss? Or did you drain it and use new/fresh water to boil? After your 1st use of sea moss, how long did it take to feel the benefits/effects?
@GoodFoodBaddie6 ай бұрын
You can use the same water if it free of dirt and debris. Or fresh water. Whatever works for you. And everyone is different, start with a teaspoon and see how you feel. You can gradually increase to a tablespoon a day if you like

One question, I purchased a jar of Sea Moss Gel, It taste just light applesauce, I can eat it straight from the jar. My first Jar was so hard to swallow because of the hard gel texture. Which one is the correct one for taste and benefit. I want the Gel that is most beneficial not just taste good.
@GoodFoodBaddie5 ай бұрын
Hi! The texture of sea moss gel can vary depending on how much liquid they used to make it. I would opt for whichever texture is easiest for you to ingest. But definitely check label to make sure that there are no other additives which could contribute to the texture or flavor.

Does boiling sea moss strip the benefits? In your other video you mentioned that it does strip away the benefits. Just wanted to clarify with you if that’s true.
@GoodFoodBaddie Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking! Since the previous video, I’ve been informed that heating sea moss does not destroy its nutrients and is a method many people use to make sea moss gel. I do think it’s important to not boil it too long and my preference is still the cold method to make sea moss gel.
