Water enters my nose when I try this drill, how can I improve?
@RocketSwimmingАй бұрын
Breath out with your nose when you start your roll. That way the water can't enter your nose.

Why not just swim on your back the entire time. Breathe freely and normally without interruption. I can't make any sense of why this method of holding one's breath, or even swimming facedown is taught to adult non-swimmers at all. Unless someone has ambition to compete, there is absolutely no advantage to even learning the "Front Crawl Stroke" at all. Holding one's breath, and depriving our muscles of oxygen when they need it most, needs to be reevaluated.

Because front swimming is fast and many people get disoriented looking at the empty sky.

That's not an thoughtful comment. I understand front crawl is hard to learn for adults specifically over an age but at the same time back stroke becomes boring after some time. Also comfort in water is essential at all age group for which submerging your face in water is the first step. Primary task of any adult coach it to make their student comfortable in water rather than teaching them strokes initially. Once you are comfortable in water without a coach nearby strokes can be learnt easily.
