Rachel, I would encourage families to vacation with the kids. Before my wife and I got married everyone said you have to go vacation before you have them because once they come you can’t go anywhere. We now have 5 and go everywhere with them. We budget in a nanny, yea it’s more but totally worth it when you want to have those moments as a married couple together.

Every year we budget for 1 vacation just my husband and I (this year La Jolla, CA) , 1 vacation with the kids (Michigan), and also 1 camping trip a yr (we live in CO and we have a favorite spot in the mtns we go every yr).

This is great! We are just about finished baby step 2 and won't have vacation time till summer '22. That gives us plenty of time to build up a vacation fund and actually set a purpose of the trip (celebrating being out of debt, doing something fun without worrying about the cost of every activity!). Not sure where we'll go, but it won't be far or overly expensive. For us it's more about getting away with our 3 sons doing something a little out of the ordinary!

My vacations I get to spend quality time with my nieces ❤️ and this year I took my cousin to her first national park. Now with a new nephew and niece that came into the world the last two years, it’s going to get pricier. So thankful I found the Ramsey Family to prepare me and look forward to what tomorrow brings.

I do $2500 for 2 people for 1 week. I start at $2500 and work backwards. I normally pay for my vacation in full 200-300 days in advance Try to do it every 100 days. Typically I go to Mexico

My husband and I are taking our 1 vacation for the year in Daytona Beach. We chose the location because my in laws have a condo there we can use, and it has a kitchen which means we can save on going out to eat.

I just put charges on my credit card and pay off at end of the month. With no mortgage pretty easy to find money for vacation. With covid restrictions just staying in the US for now especially with kids.

Hi Rachel, I love to watch your videos, I’m trying to save for vacation but with so much going on these day I have a question if you can help, My husband and I had our 25th anniversary in 2020 but with the current situation we were not able to do that plus my husband lost his job and then our income went way down, now here we are year later 2021 Is it okay to have (go fund me ) from friends?
