This is by far one of the very best cabinetry videos I have ever seen especially for a cargo trailer! Excellent job and thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you thank you for showing us how you made those cabinets I’ve seen them in cargo trailers but I have no idea how people made them. A lot more work than it looks like. I think it’s going to be perfect. 👍🏼🦋

@@waysoutback I have to admit, Im a little put off with my layout compared to yours. I'd like to add windows but for security purposes I am going to install a small wide angle video camera flush to the outside skin of the trailer and connect it to a flush mount wide screen monitor display mounted to the interior wall to emulate a live window. I thought that would be pretty cool. I might even do the same thing for a sky light

@@Mainbusfailsounds like a great option… I like cracking the windows when it’s raining or to sleep at night but if some place feels off or sketchy I just keep moving…. I’m not going to camp….. but I hear you this world is getting pretty crazy need to stay safe!

Hi again, I can't find the part where you used those plastic pieces to attach you insulation underneath the cargo trailer. What are they called or where can I get some? Love your videos.
@waysoutback11 ай бұрын
Here's an affiliate link to the product I used. They are still holding the insulation well up under there. US - amzn.to/3ujZVyY Canada - amzn.to/3R87EJx

I saw a video of a van build where the person added a cutout in front of the tank to act as a level window. Depending on the tank opacity you may need a thru-tank light to see the water level.

That’s an awesome idea! I’m going to do that, appreciate the input 👍

Are you sure about screwing your cabinets directly into your floating floor??
@waysoutback5 ай бұрын
Yeah probably not the best idea. I removed the floating floor for a sheet flooring it was much better. If winter camping I don’t think I would recommend a floating floor.

Nice work once again Zac! I am concerned however, if you have your lights under the cabinets, when accessing items at night, it will be like looking into a dark void? Just an observation?
@waysoutback3 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s a good point... maybe I’ll see if I can mount them up a little higher, or put some lights on the back door.... that’s a great idea. Thanks
@madcow34173 жыл бұрын
A dark void sounds pretty cool, I'm going to change my design and do the lights that way.
@waysoutback3 жыл бұрын
@@madcow3417 I already mounted my light up a little higher. It’s definitely better to see in the cabinets. I’ll show it on the next video. I think if you put them under you might also want to throw one up top to see in the cabinets when dark.

does your heater heat the water or did you put a water heater in as well?

Aluminum angle iron on the bottom and angle iron tied into the ceiling braces.

How did you determine where the aluminum studs are in the wall?
@waysoutback2 жыл бұрын
My plywood sheeting on the walls was screwed to the studs, so it was really easy to locate each one. My trailer though is made of steel, I just used aluminum angle to hold up the cabinets. To make it even stronger you could use rivnuts rather then self tapper screws.
