I built this exact setup with the 4TB drive for my Macbook Pro. I get around 3k speeds, but it constantly drops the connection when doing big transfers, multiple small transfers, or something like uncompressing a file. This happens on TB4 and USB 4, 100% of the time, (multiple macs and enclosures tested.) Samsung tested the drive and it tested fine with them and they sent it back saying don't use it in an external enclosure, it's not designed for that. For what it's worth...

Interesting. The first thing I did with mines was transfer over 1.5 TB of media lol. Not had any connection issues.

@@DreQueary Yeah, I am really disappointed. I got better results with the Ugreen and 990pro on my windows machine, are you windows or Mac?

Nice!! However, does it run on windows (11) systems also?? Or is it exclusively for Mac users?

What do you mean? Im not using a mac I use Windows 11. Should work with Macs tho.

Allright!!! Thank you for your very quick answer!! The question was just because I had about the Ugreen device on redit, that some users had trouble with the device when using Windows PC's. On the Ugreen homepage theres a section stating potential instability using Windows - maybe due to usage of old CPU's (they advice it should be Intel 12.gen or newer, or a new AMD). Oh I see. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprise, all these things come from China and lack quality control. But I get most of my enclosures from Ugreen and havent had any issues. But again, i only use Windows. haha
