I know this is an older video. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Zeb has a great talent for woodworking. watching him make the legs for the table was so calming for me. to be able to take a piece of wood and make something out of it. I need to learn how to do this...how did he learn all this?. I know there's a lot of experience in trial and error in there. My father started teaching befor he passed... Unfortunately we ran out of time. Your table turned out gorgeous. I saw a color in there that would be perfect for what I need for my project. I did I hear you say there are samples? Website? Happy painting!
@JamiRayVintage6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Zeb had turned one thing in shop class in high school and wanted to get better so we bought an inexpensive lathe from harbor freight and he just started practicing. Took him a couple months of doing it everyday to really pick it up. 👍 The paint we used was Milk paint. I sell it on my website. jamirayvintage.com/collections/milk-paint/products/adelaide-sweet-pickins-milk-paint

What was the bit you used on your drill to attach the top together ?

It’s a countersink bit. Some people use a pocket hole jig to do the same thing but I like the countersink in this application because it’s fast and still strong.

@JamiRayVintage7 жыл бұрын
It would work great! The reason we use polyacrylic is because it’s waterbased and doesn’t yellow on whites. 👍

Zeb grew up around his mom crafting and his dad building things. Same with me, Zeb did pick up a lathe 2-1/2 years ago though and taught himself how to use it. He had only used one for about an hour in wood shop back in high school prior to that.
