I'd seriously think about buying an ebike from your local bike shop instead. Why? The very second you have an issue with the motor or suspension, you'll have to send it back for warranty claim. The wait for that is MONSTROUSLY HUGE (especially from YT) Buying from local shop means they can get you away riding again without that monster wait.

Nice bike, and great content. I'm sure there are many YT Decoy owners out there wondering where the, promised at the launch of the bike, larger capacity battery is, yes you can buy a second battery for £500+ but that's a deal breaker for me, I don't want to ride with a pack and the 540wh battery just isn't good enough.

Good enough for what? how many miles can you get out of 540? My battery on my bike is 560 and I can get like 50+ miles on eco mode.

@@cutty02 I can do 50 miles on my analogue bike, I never use eco on my Pivot, for fire roads it was fine but to do 50 miles in eco is no better than an analogue bike, after 2 trips to Morzine last year I soon found out that the 504 wh battery wasn't enough for a full day so in that environment a 700wh would be ideal.

How tall are you? Im 5"10 or 177.8 and ordered the large. I've haven't got to ride them so not 100% I ordered the correct size. But in the end there seems to only be 1 inch difference between the 2.

I created couple of polls on internet about YT support and majority had no problems with their bikes.. of those who had issues.. majority had it fixed by YT well and pretty quickly. Only couple of people who took part complained.. 181 people took the poll about customer issue handling. 103 did have problems fix and response was quick and flawless.. 50 would expect it some faster.. 25 complained it was not sufficient, 6 where in the middle.. On another poll with just particular bike in mind 60 people picked their vote.. 41 didn’t have a single issue with the bike.. 9 had it serviced with YT quick and easy, 5 had problem fixes in not satisfactory time.. 3 had it in process.. So I would say pretty darn good service!

I didnt take part in your poll but support is really good in north america. All i needed was a software update and yt canada/us got it sorted along with my local bike store and shimano canada. Good comunication from yt. They seem like good people

I'm looking at around the £6000 mark for my first emtb, so obviously some people can afford them. If you're in the UK, there are various ways to get this cheaper with tax relief through employer. Or if your own your own company and are VAT registered, you can reclaim VAT and receive tax relief by buying it directly through your company. £6000 bike ends up costing me around £4200 doing it this way. Bargain.

The only difference is that they did not.. Geo, target group, riding style, components, suspension.. like everything is different..

M. Muzinski the geo is basically the same. The 150mm front 145mm back. My point is it was different, now it’s the same as the pack and that’s a shame. If you think differently that’s your opinion.
