How much paint/tubes of paint approx would you say one could go through doing a large painting like the one in the background?
@LewisNobleArtistАй бұрын
Good question. I use good quality but not artist quality for volume! I save the good stuff for the top layers. Also the early stages are mainly monochromatic so lots of black and white followed by layers of thinner colour.

Thank you Lewis, always helpful. One question: you mentioned that you use oil at the final stage of the painting. Can you share maybe some time how you do that? Do you work over the whole painting on the composition already established? Thank you.

Maybe but I tend to keep this demo for my workshops. Thanks for watching!

Lewis Noble. Can you tell me what the black color is?
@LewisNobleArtist Жыл бұрын
I usually make a kind of Payne’s Grey by mixing some Prussian Blue into black.
