I'm Alex, a barber and a barbershop owner. I help barbers and barbershop owners make more money. If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Jaramillo. I’m the President and Founder of House of Shaves Barbershop in Jacksonville, FL, and the founder of the Barbershop Owner Mastermind. I help barbers and barbershop owners improve their skills, grow their businesses, and make more money. My barbershops do 7 figures in revenue per year and have served thousands of clients, and my online communities have empowered hundreds of barbers to take their careers to the next level.
How I got here…
2014: Graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Supervision and Management from Florida State College at Jacksonville.
2014: Became licensed as a barber with no previous experience.
2015: Came in first place in my first barber battle.
2015: Opened my first barbershop in Jacksonville, FL.
2017: Moved our barbershop from our original location, added 2 more chairs and grew to full capacity.
2018: Won Best Barbershop in Jacksonville award.
2020: Expanded to a second location while maintaining a team-focused, collaborative environment.
2021: Launched new benefits for barbers at House of Shaves, including guaranteed pay, healthcare, paid time off and 401(k) programs. Helped multiple barbers earn over 6 figures a year.
2024: Started creating free online content for barbers to learn haircut techniques, marketing, and business strategies.
2024: Built a free community for barbers on Skool, growing it to thousands of members in just a few months.
2024: Launched the Barbershop Owner Mastermind, a paid community offering courses, coaching, and tools to help barbershop owners run successful businesses.
Today: Our barbershops produce 7 figures a year in revenue while continuing to serve loyal clients with exceptional haircuts, beard trims, and shaves. My free and paid communities for barbers are growing, and I’m working on new courses to help barbers get discovered by more clients. My goal is to make valuable, actionable business education accessible to barbershop owners at every stage of their journey.
