Don’t matter what you post it always attracts haters. I personally think you did a great job and you are a hell of a good fabricator. Nice job !

When I made my wings I ended up having to put a large steel basically a washer between the bolts to help keep the rubber from pulling to the bolts hope this helps for for you
@galehess66764 жыл бұрын
I would take flat metal stock like 1"x6" long or so, enuff to span both bolts , to serve as washers, drill holes in it and bolt through that, to add stability and prevent the bolts tearing out when the lower edge of rubber catches a object.

Put the rubber on the back side of your wings, Put a backup plate on the backside of the rubber to keep it from flexing. Then bend the bottom half of wing forward till the rubber is even with the plow cutting edge

I made one of those (just for the left side is all I needed) and it held up for about 1 week before the square tubing gave out. I need to make some better bracing so it's not so weak.

Have you had any problems with them bending? It just seems like the angled weld would be prone to ripping off.

I'V HERD THAT NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE DO...THE BACK DRAGS NEVER WORK PROPERLY DUE TO SNOW BUILD UP OR FREEZING I THOUGHT ABOUT BUILDING ONE BUT DECIDED IT WOULD JUST BECOME A HEADACHE! I ALWAYS PUSH THE SNOW FORWARD TO PEEL IT UP THEN BACK DRAG IT AND THAT WORKS FOR ME.
@luckylarz42694 жыл бұрын
My buddy has a back drag blade that's plumbed with a hydraulic so when he actually does his back dragging like garage doors or anything like that where he's actually trying to back drag he just engages it and flips itlike 90° backwards and it clean snow like nothing I've ever seen it's amazing lol. I know it's an old video and your comment is old but I saw it and was like well not all back drag blade suck 😂🤣 but most do lol

@ThePlowGuys9 жыл бұрын
Nice job on those wings. I do alot of back dragging. Any ideas of how I could make a good back drag plate? I own a Fisher plow. (buying a different plow is out of the question...lol)

*******CHANGE MY MIND AGAIN******** THE 1 1/2 RUBBER WAS NO GOOD! ITS TOO THICK TO ALLOW IT TO FLEX, INSTEAD IT BREAKS. I ORDERED A SET OF PRO WING RUBBER SCRAPERS BECAUSE I KNOW THERE GOOD.

I built something very similar with similar size square tubing. It eventually bent. No way these didn't bend in the first of hour of use. Too much force for that sized tubing and attack angle.
