good vid, subscribed. thought on topic: ineresting to see how the term "token deck" way back in the day meant "green creature tokens" pretty much, and therefor was descriptive enough, while nowadays so many different themes and mechanics use tokens, that its as vague as saying "creature deck" or "card draw". my ellivere of the wild deck is best classified as (aura)echantress, but since it revolves around the eldraine roles, calling it a token deck would totally be technically correct (the best kind of correct).

Crashing Drawbridge is an underrated card if you're not playing red! If you drop it early, it's like a time walk with suspend for tokens decks

I have six Commander decks and they all make tokens. However, only two of them are token focused and within all of my decks, I run 7 - 25 token producers per deck.

I love black/white token decks - Teysa Opulent Oligarch like you showed for clues but also Elenda, the Dusk Rose for lifeleech vampire tokens and a ton of graveyard/exile tennis with the commander.

The best wincon in tokens is definitely jetmir nexus of revels. It is in naya though.

9x 1/1 plus 5/4 Jetmir plus his abilities equal 84 damage already

I pulled Rith and Lathliss out of many packs and am currently finding dragons I can add into my new dragon token commander deck.

I made a pretty decent grist plagueswarm deck, and I’ve struggled to find the balance between: fun for the table and I would hate the person running this deck. I’ve definitely had fun making it but I feel like it still needs tuning.

Why would anyone want to play arena and not actually own the physical cards.
@Ma1n_Zane2 ай бұрын
I would say it's probably cause you can't play instantly online with physical cards. But yeah, I have no idea otherwise besides price.
@codyrollins38942 ай бұрын
I would assume that is because not everybody has the ability to go to a local game store or have friends locally that they can play with

Both are fun. But online card games are a lot of people's daily mobile game. I guarantee a large amount of people that play arena have played games like HS or Snap. And I'm sure a decent amount doesn't even play any paper mtg. The day and age we live in people are going to want to play daily and the only realistic way to do that is arena
