My advice to younger people (if they were open to listen) would be 1.) Start saving right away with your first job, be consistent and don't touch it. The time goes faster than you think. 2.) Don't waste your money on stuff..I'm now in my 50's and realize I could have bought myself so much time with all the money I spent on stuff. 3.) Don't be in a hurry to have everything in your house that your parents do..it took them decades to get those things. A house will fill up quick enough. 4.) Live debt free. I hope someone somewhere will take at least one of these to heart and that it improves their lives!

I'm 43 years old and these are my pieces of advice: 1. remember that you're never wise enough: youth can learn from old age, old age can learn from youth. 😊 2. invest early. It helps build up your discipline. It teaches you to value long-term rewards over short-term satisfaction. 3. DO study the history of science. 😁I actually recommend studying history in general, but something more specific like the history of science is very useful also. It gives you a better understanding of the world and makes you a better critical thinker. Those skills will help you in all areas of life, including finance.

I do agree with a lot of these as a 24 year old guy. Last year, I've tried investing too but I realized that the profit I'll gain is not that much. For example, 1-2% interest rate is not enough, if you're investing 10k. This would end up 1k in a year but I think, it's better if my investments would be bigger then so the ROI would be bigger too, just like what he had explained. Not having a car saves a lot of money as well. I have a brother who had a car and most of the time, he borrows money to pay for it's monthly dues and I don't think that's good in a long term. Finding a good mentor is a great investment on yourself too. I kind of having a hard time on this one because I'm shy mostly to older people but, I'm trying to be more sociable these days in able to find one. Insurance plans were good too, you know at this time, you should start to save one for your future too. Insurance plans guarantee you money wether you get sick or you get to an accident, you'll get money. Just be sure you read all the terms and agreements before you sign one. I have finished college with a degree I am really interested on. Usually, when you hear a graduate of Architecture you would say they earn a lot but, no, in third world countries, architect's salary is much like the head staff position's salary. Now, during this quarantine I'm trying to learn to cook, bake and start a business. Best way is to be equipped with a lot of skills and knowledge. You know it's really amazing I found this video with a man younger than I am. Go Gen Z!

Bible, the best video of all time for a teenager (17 y/o) who is in love with financial freedom. I was going nuts these days trying to find ways at 17 to be already rich at 20... it takes time and patience. I realized that I don’t like stuff that promises you a lot of money like Shopify or drops shipping, I don’t believe in getting money easy or quick, I believe that success takes time, but that is not an excuse for not doing anything, you have to be active but patient. Frame my words!

The Most important outcome of the video: DONT FOCUS SOLELY ON INVESTING- meaning, focus on increasing your income/ education, and taking this increased income and invest this. This is most important when you are young due to compound interest!

I agree Connor, investing is one side of the battle, money management, protecting it once it starts to grow etc. is a whooole other type of battle

Do not be afraid as a young person to live far below your means. I have lived in two different travel trailers at two different times in my life. Both times people told me I was crazy, then when they realized I was paying less than 300 dollars a month for an RV spot with all utilities included, they realized it was a pretty smart move. Travel trailers are far more affordable than a "tiny house" and is essentially the same thing. I realize that a travel trailer does not hold its value nearly as well as a stick built tiny house would. But if you can buy a useable, cheap and road worthy trailer. Most of the time you can live in an RV park or at a friends place for very cheap. Most RV parks offer a lower price if you tell them you want to pay monthly. Do not be afraid of what people will think of you by doing this. The point of it is to save money, still live comfortably, and have a home for yourself that you own. The point is not to "impress" people. Also I completely agree with you Nate, I have never owned a "new" car. I do own cars but because I need to for work. But I never have a car payment hanging out over my head. You can always buy a perfectly useable used car!

your tip #1: i'm sure you said it before & i did it a year ago, it helped me a lot, i started a small business (charcoal selling) & i worked almost for free for a more successful business in another area that also sells charcoal. i found a lot of value that would probably cost me a lot of money & time and learn. i gotta thank you for that fella :D
