And this is a perfect example of why it pays to be mindful. Our bodies, our minds, they give us signs when it is time to slow down and initiate any self care practices.
@Rachel-Sheerin3 жыл бұрын
So true! Mindfulness and burnout are definitely dark and light sides of our mind/body connections. In my experience as an event emcee, I see a lot of attendees at conferences with their ears to their shoulders and have been incorporating breathing breaks when we come back to encourage a mindful moment (if the meeting planner approves it!). Is that an effective practice, in your opinion? Do you have any others you would suggest?

We for so long have been on such a "go, go, go" trajectory I think it's hard for some of us to admit and accept that we must take time to realign ourselves, find balance and be kind to ourselves. Even when we are doing things we love it is still so easy to lose all capacity and not have anything left to even feed yourself. Kudos to this woman!

Robert, that is such an eye-opening statement. Oftentimes, when you feel that you are so deeply burned out, that the cycle of life is a cycle of frustration and fatigue, that means that you have changed so radically from the person you were while not updating your life to the person you are NOW. Are you living in all of the shoulds of your past, your beliefs? What can you let go of today that isn't serving you? Do you want to start a new life? And if so, what are you waiting for? Much love and strength to you. xx -Rachel
