I received my soare xr s80ul+ rod a few weeks ago and it is by far the best purchase I've made. I payed about £300 because of UK vat and shipping but I don't regret it at all. I combo it with the soare xr c2500s reel and the entire combo weighs about 250g or 8.8 oz. Its my first step into higher end rod and reel combos and il definitely be buying more in the future :D

I have listened to a bunch of your tips and i don’t mean this to be mean, just honest feedback. You don’t really offer value when it comes to finding deals. Anyone can collect gift cards and use credit card rewards but those same credit card rewards could be used for things your family needs with the right card. I was hoping your channel could be a conduit for finding discounted quality gear, but it isn’t. My secret is that I closely watch all of the new releases from the companies I like. When the new stuff comes out I buy the old stuff up on clearance. I can usually find stuff for at least 40% off. When I can find an upgrade I sell the last round off for a bit more than I paid initially. For example in the past year I have bought Tatula sv tw’s for $124 and zillions for $199. Those were upgraded from Tatula 100’s that I paid $100 for and sold for $125

Love your channel but i took advantage of that $40 bass-x st croix at Dicks last year around Black Friday. I just went into Google to find that. Really no leg work. Just put what you're looking for into Google and you'll see a listing of all the companies that have it and their current prices. Just price check folks.

@@macjig5148 that’s literally the easiest thing to do to find discounts. You can even follow companies’ social medias & they’ll post about weekly deals or holiday deals.

Like you I got the 2024 clearance deal. I bought 6 rods and gave away 3 rods. I posted a video showing that deal from DSG. I posted a video back in 2021 where I bought that rod for about $40 out of pocket. I didn't have to wait for it to gon on clearance 3 years after it was first introduced. I don't want you to have to wait that long either. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

Im good with the e book homie i really dont believe your out of pocket theory to be honest 😂 Example If you have $200 dollars out of pocket, $200 dollars gift cards, $100 dollars points or rewards and you buy a $500 dollar rod your still spending $500 😂 just because you allocate money from one place to another does'nt mean your not spending that money 😂 its all out of pocket no matter what.
@PNguyen163 ай бұрын
Yeah from what I’ve noticed with his previous videos is that he basically has gift cards piled up and takes advantage of rewards to get his items for a discounted price. Nothing we don’t already know. Hell you can go on marketplace and find them cheap too. Could be lucky and find them in amazing condition

@@jbassc81 it is convenient if family members or friends gifted you a gift card to use and you just save up for a certain product but there’s no secret to saving money on equipments. Keep up with certain holiday sales or check websites once a while to see what’s on clearance.

I always enjoyed your reviews, but i never really understood your channel. Saving money on gear is easy. Gift cards, coupons, and sales. The amount of gear you have for fresh water fishing is crazy. God bless and good luck
@familybudgetfisherman3 ай бұрын
It's only easy when you know what you are doing. I have had this channel for over 5 1/2 years and I still get questions on how to save more than 25 or 30% on great quality fishing gear. 2 weeks ago I gave away 2 rod/reel combos totaling $530. This lady was fascinated that I spent the same money she spent on a current Shimano Curado for those 2 combos. Actually she got a better deal than I did because she got the combos for free. I hope someday this is easy for everyone and I no longer need to buy equipment to give it away. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

My previous GMO (boss) would use his Cabelas/basspro credit card on all purchases made for the company we worked for,as many of you know they give you reward points and just so you understand the amount of points he was getting I’ll tell you the electric bill price, the monthly bill for the construction plant is $10,000 us dls and that’s just one bill we also need lumber which was way more expensive than the electric bill. At the end of the year he was loaded with points…. I honestly don’t think this is ethical. But that’s just me There’s loopholes that many of us don’t know about,people very wealthy use like not paying taxes or stuff we haven’t heard about. I am a shimano fan but only own whatever I can afford with hard work. I am currently unemployed so spending on a hobby is out of the question for me. I lost my 26 yr job to this GMO he believed in hiring college graduates who at the end of their training didn’t end up staying with the company because they were expecting more $ but they got experience from it 😂

First of all, I’m sorry to hear that you lost your job. I hope and pray that you secure another one that pays better and has better benefits. Yes, it is definitely unethical to accumulate points in the way that you described. I certainly would never recommend that anyone take advantage of awards program in that manner, lol. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

I just ran into your video ... To me you are just a con artist trying to get people to buy you eBook ... You said nothing to help someone buy something ... When you can get me a deal on a High End Fishing Reel then we can talk ... I bet you can make a deal to buy your eBook. You are a eBook Infomercial ... You are playing on people who want high end fishing equipment to believe they can get it cheaper ... If my reel cost 500 Dollars and I only have 400 ... I know I cannot buy that reel until I get another 100 Dollars. Why don't you really teach someone about equipment ... This reel cost 500 dollars but this reel cost 100 dollars and does the same exact thing ... I can show you how to save a lot of money ...

Expensive gear usually will not catch more fish. It’s about location, finding fish, tips and tricks. I have cheap $20 combo catches just as much as $150. I like quality gear. People who start fishing should invest in cheap gear.
@shorefishingontario3 ай бұрын
Expensive gear will not catch more fish. That's a misconception people who don't have it say. It feels nice using high end equipment and if you are an already good fisherman, it will amplify your ability. High end = sensitivity, lightweight, balance, longevity and usually a lifetime warranty (depending on brand). Nobody is telling anyone to buy expensive. Go within your means. It sure feels good using it tho.
@BudgetBassbroFishing3 ай бұрын
@@shorefishingontarioi agree. Quality parts doesn’t necessarily mean expensive. U can get very very nice quality parts witha budget friendly price. Sales help the most. Like everyone, we all started out with ugly stiks, but when u finally move up to quality gear, u definitely feel the difference, mainly in sensitivity n lightweight
