I got the 13 kalonA size 30:fate rod and kalonC size 40: omen rod it was the 4 time out. Nothing to complain about. I do like both for trout fishing so far and smooth.

I just got the 13 fishing kalon size 30 reel and fate medium light power fast Action rod combo at sportsman's where house. I like the white and black allot. I went fishing today and very happy with it smooth. On trout with spinner's. The kalon C reel omen rod is still better but more money. I got both this month got blessed with them because I usually I can't afford them one besides both. One was on black Friday sale 75% off and one two weeks later 50% off. God is good.

Extra slow action, Slow action, Moderate Action, fast Action, extra fast Action. Is not power rod. The older rod's are confused about there power rod and Actions. My old rod's say power is Actions 🤦🏼 damn G what happened. I tell my kiddos that is about being outside even if you don't get nothing it is better than at home.

I see your point. I tend to ignore power and action in favor of length of the rod, number of guides, the rod's lure size range, and line rating. I have a better sense of what I want based on what I throw more than where the rod bends or how stiff the tip is. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

I've got the same amount of fish using a cheep $20 combo as my $170 13 omen combo. So I doesn't matter to me. Buying new combos go with clearance sale so is $100 combo will be $50 or less you can find what you want just look around might take 6 months to find it at the price point you need. I need a 5 bearing reel medium because I'm picky now because I can on stuff. The 13 Fate A combo is on sale at sportsman's where house 50% off

The goal should be to find a $170 combo for as close to $20 as possible. I have shared on this channel purchases of $80 rods I got for $20 and a $100 baitcast rod for seven ($7) dollars. Nearly all of my PB's are still on Ugly Stiks. That said no matter how successful I have been with low budget equipment, Fishing with higher budget equipment feels so much better. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

In my state Dick's don't have any thing for fishing. So I'm a sportsman's where house Guy. Just got 13 fishing Fate in white out rod medium light power fast Action and black reel size 30 reel was on sale $59 was $99 got this one because I got the Kalon omen C combo in size 40 medium heavy power fast Action rod is money. So I got another one 🤷🏼 O-well another one 😅

Drag that bass on some more rocks and cement, maybe next time you'll rip all of his scales off too along with his slime coat!! Dudes got 30k in rods and reels but still can't figure out a baitcaster and its punching with a oz flippin weight and a bead over a heavy wire hook with a feather 7'1 heavy striper rod lol that alone explains it all! Although it may not seem so, that levy was 15 feet from where I was standing to the water's edge with soft dirt. The bass had no nicks cuts or scrapes from the catch. I don't know how this video convinces you that I can't figure out a baitcaster and what your perception "explainsit all" to you, but I am willing to compare my 52 years of fishing to anything you think you know about the sport. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

Hello Malik New sub here. Thanks for your easy to watch video's I enjoy using the high end equipment as well. Here is a rod company you should look into. It is called Old 18, and is located in Texas. The company is veteran owned, and their high end rods are amazing. I own 6 of their rods, and swear by them. Keep up the good work my friend.

I prefer the sensitivity of the Shimano Zodias, for bottom contact, to the Phenix M1 2020. what I noe love about the M1 is the wider lure rating on the 7'8" Medium M1 (1/8 - 3/4 oz) compared to the 7'6" Medium Zodias (3/16-1/2oz). The M1 is better for multispecies fishing.

I use a LOT of soft plastics, but nothing yet with that elaztech / elastomer material. I can see a lot of advantages with durability, so I may have to finally give it a try. It would only make sense. Great haul ( as usual ) ! I pay close attention to your lure finds, but I envy those Vanfords back there. True fishing objet de désir lol. Keep the videos coming and go catch ‘em !

I love fishing with elaztech / elastomer material, but storing those baits can be a challenge. I often carry zip lock snack bags to store baits that I fished with and need to store for another outing. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣

G Loomis seems to over rate their rods in that their medium power seems to be more of a medium light. My Pro Green for inshore is rated medium heavy is more like my Medium power St Croix rods. But I like them.

Thanks for your video. My wife and I both have Shimano Vanford 5000 spinning reels for a couple of years. We both have G Loomis e6x 9 ft 6 inch med / light spinning rods. Vanford series are the best spinning reels you can buy for the price. We live in N/W Oregon on the coast and fish for salmon steelhead and sea run cutthroat trout. The rods weigh only 5 ounces and reel is only 7.8 ounces. Incredibly lightweight combination for big fish. Looking to by the new Vanford FA 5000 when it becomes available.

You are welcome. Thank for your interest in the channel content. You are correct. The Vanfords are the premiere reels in their price points. Paired with thos E6x's, you have some excellent combos. I truly admire that you and your wife are getting the best of those salmon and trout. My wife and I enjoyed a Pastor & wife retreat in Sisters Oregon this past May 2024. Oregon is absolutely beautiful. I will keep you posted on any sales opportunities of the Vanford FA I find. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣
