Brandon, the former host of Bigger Pockets, played a pivotal role in Ryan's journey into real estate and exemplifies the combination of real estate, business, and social media.
They emphasize the value of attending masterminds and events, where you never know what influential connections, ideas, or solutions to business challenges you might gain.
Both Brandon and Ryan enjoy the freedom to live where they are happiest, like Maui, instead of being tied to one location.
They discuss the importance of consistency in podcasting and using other social media channels to promote your podcast. Brandon shares how he utilizes his podcast to benefit charities, particularly in the fight against human trafficking through his pending non-profit, Better Life.
Working to build sustainable businesses and a charity, they recognize the costs and commitment required to make a significant impact in philanthropic endeavors.
The conversation also delves into finding happiness in the grind and struggle of accomplishing goals, the value of partnerships with like-minded individuals, and how Christians working together can lead to unexpected blessings.
Brandon explains his decision to invest in mobile home parks, influenced by Grant Cardone's teachings, and the focus on adding value to properties for long-term returns.
They discuss raising capital and the importance of finding deals that significantly improve property value. To compete in a market with comparatively high-interest bank accounts, Brandon has turned to advertising.
The episode offers insights into successful real estate investment strategies and the importance of consistency, connections, and social impact.

The last time i watched one of brandons videos, he was so proud of getting some trio package of lookalike small houses for cheap. I think at that time he still hadn't realized social media fame could lead to the greatest wealth.

This is probably my new favorite interview... I often find myself unconsciously having my guard up around most Christians who are crushing it at the money game as I often experience them on the "prosperity gospel" koolaid. I'm thankful this isn't even remotely that, and I find myself more aligned to both Brandon and Ryan's convictions, faith, and values, and get more excited about eternal work like this.

Loved this one. Interesting to hear him talk about the income side... Graham Stephen interviewed him recently and had Brandon at $1.5M/mo of income (vs the $50K he says on here)
@LifeAsDane
@LifeAsDane Жыл бұрын
$50k would be a 3.3% net return so both those statements could be accurate without defining gross or net. $600k/yr just on rentals would sound right with leverage and partners. Whatever the number he's done it right !
@davidc8560
@davidc8560 Жыл бұрын
I think Graham was using the gross rental income for click bait. But of course, Brandon probably has a dozen or so streams of income; so he may be making that kind of money.

Im at a crossroads of Ramsey way and "leveraging" way. Sold my two family and bought a single family. I want to get back in the game again..... Should i do a cashout refi and look into another property investment property? Young 30s Postal worker with young family looking to take the next step.... Hope y'all see the comment

What's best for your family? Perhaps a SFH is better for the well being of your family. In my opinion, better to have a SFH that's affordable and can be soon paid off than a duplex that would decrease privacy and perhaps decrease overall standard of living.
@icawn
@icawn Жыл бұрын
If Ramsey never leveraged, it is unlikely he would be a millionaire today. Even in the greatest case of devils advocate to this argument, his experience leveraging and failing provided him the education and courage necessary to succeed later. What's your idea of life success? Ramsey plays the game and his goal is to play the game as long as possible. His goal is not financial freedom.

Ok im listening at 1 hour in and wanted to comment that in my conviction not all partners and people we work with always need to be Christians but everything we do should be done by a Christian World View and in the context of the Great Commission and the hope that they will become a Christian just like the example that Brandon gave. The point is to get a good siding and gutter contractor on staff. Get a good tile guy on staff. Get a good roofer on staff. Then you can back off and just maintain relationships. If you are only doing the work and not working the relationships, you can't scale. You need to do both, balance 90/10, them 80/20, then 70/30, etc.. the "system" as he refers to it. Brandon is a talker and he is tall, which provides him effortless opportunities for attention and building those relationships with contractors and staff in person.

Its funny how someone who is well established has connection's built over time acts like anyone can go and buy rentals especially when they are way overpriced. Who can afford to buy a house in 2023? If I was you id wait for a crash before you buy a rental treat it like a stock and only buy it after a crash when its on sale not when its at the top of the market and interest rates are high that all eats into any profits you could have because you have a higher mortgage from higher purchase price and a high interest rate.

I actually started a Christian brand and my business partner was also Christian. She was very pro only let’s work with people in the kingdom. Long story short she was horrible when it came to business so we ended it. We where not compatible as businesses partners but great sisters in Christ. I also didn’t agree with the only work with other Christians concept that she wanted to do because that’s very religious mindset !!! Also look at my situation for example just because there a Christian don’t mean they will be good at business. I like to work with goal oriented people let’s get it done mindset. God loves everyone regardless if they sin differently then you and you never know who you can meet along the way and it can be a open conversation about Jesus !
