Man you need to have this guy (Capt. Hollywood) on a LOT more. Almost all fishing vid show just the fish coming in the boat. He is on the water showing the whole thing. Most others sit at a deck trying to explain stuff. lol Please keep his videos coming.

I love Salt Strong. lol. Last week Tony makes a video about why not to use a popping cork in the flats and this week Hollywood makes a video about killing it with a popping cork in the flats. lololol.

Yes, we love popping corks here at Salt Strong. Tony didn't say "never" use a cork, he just gave all of the reasons to not rely on them for all fishing scenarios. They definitely have their place and do better in certain areas.

Eh, 10 ft of water isnt necessarily a flat imo. Down here in south texas our grass flats are between 2-5 ft where a popping cork can definently spook fish

Just got my first old drum in the Neuse river, NC last weekend with this method. Measured 48” without pinching the tail. Something to add- the biggest reason for the heavier tackle is so that you don’t kill the big drum. With big drum you should get them to the boat quickly, never hold them vertically and do what you can to preserve their slime

What kind of structure were you fishing over?
@alexadams41323 жыл бұрын
Has to be some kind of reef. He isn’t fishing that deep either. Leader below the cork no more than 24 inches from what I can tell.
