Thank you so much Mr Dieter! After becoming permanently injured, I wanted to pick up a low physical hobby. I didnt about know anything about cat fishing. Through your videos, ive gained a great deal of knowledge and picked up a hobby which I can't get enough of. Im much happier and i have something to look forward to in the evenings. God bless you sir. Thank you for being such an awesome guy

@FRGGuideservice thanks friend. The amount of technology today is really a game changer, too. Like the apps that show you fishing spots. What a world we are living in.

Great video Mr. Dieter, always a great video when you cam learn to get some flatties or catfish in general during the day.

Suspending baits in the wood and other heavy structure works for me. No fish in 10 min move your bait. Front, side and back of the "pile" 10 min each section then move to the next spot!

Mark you're just the flathead guru, in my eyes.. always putting in that work..

Love flatheads. Prehistoric fish! Biologists are young with "college degrees"

You're either going to have to catch them early or late coming from or going to feed grounds or catch them on their beds - just like big whitetail bucks outside of the rut

I’ve been catching them on live bluegills lately

Great video as always. I've never caught a flathead I'm 68 and actually just started fishing 3 years ago. I have a jon boat someone gave me no sonar but I have a depth map of Lake O' the Pines. So how deep are you talking about I don't do night fishing? Thank you for your reply and helping me learn to cat fish.

Something strange going on. First 7 minutes weren't Dieter! Some kind of music. I've actually caught a smaller flathead than that first on. It had to have been from the spawn last year. It was caught last year. About the size of my pinky finger. Tiny little dude. Yes, I released him.

It's harder to catch a small one than a giant one!!! LOL!!

@@DieterMelhorn Actually, I catch a tiny one like that almost every year. 😀
