How to Catch "SALMON" from Shore / Tips & Techniques / Late Fall Run / Salmon Fishing California

In this fishing video I ""LIMIT OUT"" catching "TWO" Salmon from shore!!!,,,,,,, I was using my Dobyns 765 SF Champion Series Fishing Rod with a 8 inch extended butt and a Shimano Stradic CI4 4000 reel and the lure that I was using was a Mepp's Flying C lure and I filmed this video with my GoPro HD Helmet Camera
This was just another "AWESOME" day of fishing with SharkMan!!!

Ive tried and failed to catch salmon and trout. They really seem the be picky in Ireland, I try flies all the time but they wont bite and the flying C isn't allowed in most parts of Ireland :/

The Wall in Nimbus is the best spot but theres so many people there mainly locals. You will def hookup for sure fishing there.

juan go fish american river at the hatchery right below the damm i could make it there from novato in an hour it is just past sacremento , i caught a plus pound king my first trip sailors bar is a great spot below the hatchery other side of the river , probablly little late for kings but just in time for long steelhead season , dont overlook russian river , also just an hour north of golden gate awesome steelhead fishing folks at kings bait and tackle in downtown guernville are awesome give u advice sell you some good roe which is easy way to catch first fish good luck peace

The rod was originally 7ft 6in long but then I had 8 inches added to the butt to make the rod 8ft 2in long and it's a power 5.

do you use a snap swivel or just tie the main onto the lure, and where can i find the single hooks? and did you custom your lure with fur?

I tie a snap swivel directly to my line "no shocker" and yes I cut the treble hook off that the Flying C came with and put a Gamakatsu Siwash size 3/0 on it,,,I also added some flash to the hook! :)

You can also bend the hook sideway 15 degrees. However, the Gama Octopus has a slight circle to the hook. Less snagging:-) When a fish bites at 30 MPH with closed jaws that 15 deg grabs the lips. A strait J hook can slip strait through.

I sometimes count to five then start reeling and I also start reeling as soon as it hits the water,,,,Flying C's are deep dive lures and they dive on there own so don't worry and think there just below the surface.

No weights needed the Flying C that I use is 7/8 of an once and can cast pretty far.

Yea that plenty of line and most people use 15 to 20 lbs line.
