Who knew scallops could run away like this! We are diving for scallops w/ Captain Billy in Homosassa Florida! This place is loaded with scallops, fish and beautiful water. If you want to catch scallops for yourself, all you'll need is a captain or a boat, and goggles. Seems simple enough, but the tricky part is finding them, its like an underwater easter egg hunt. FYI, Scallop Season in Florida runs from Mid June through the end of September in specific zones, with limits on individual and boat. Florida Scallops live about 1 year

Loved this episode and all the catch and cooks. It’s good to know where you food comes from. In a lot of cases especially here in Hawaii “fresh” just means never frozen. The fish can be 2 weeks old but still is considered “fresh”. The majority the high quality fish are shipped off or go to the nice restaurants. But a lot of times the fish tastes better a day or two after being caught.
