Love the chatterbait. If you like that lure, give the shudder bait a try. Its similar to the chatter bait. It has a plastic blade and displaces water more than the chatter bait. It's made by Terminator.

I love the feel of a bass hitting a chatterbait/spinnerbait. It's just pure explosion like going from 0 to 60 out of nowhere. I normally fish softbaits and get fish on the fall or after letting it sit a little and I can normally tell there's a bit before setting the hook. With a chatterbait it basically sets the hook right away and that jolt is such a wake up call. And the fact that you had a nice sized bass that also broke water...man, if that isn't the epitome of a nice fish I don't know what is. That was one nice fish. And it takes a real scumbag to leave a fire smoldering like that with grass and trees around. It's not like it was on a beach with only sand and would eventually go out on its own...that fire was still going when you were there. At least you were nice enough to take care of it so others wouldn't have to breath in all that smoke. Your channel has really showed a ton of improvement this year and it's great being along for the ride.

Congrats Alex I dont have much luck on chatterbaits. 1 word of advise on the boot tail swimbaits as trailers is to rig them upside down so the tail doesn't screw up the motion of the vibrating blade.

Chatterbaits have been great for me this summer because of all the grass in my local lakes. It pulls through them very easily and you can feel the action from it right away so there's no guessing whether the lure is doing what it's supposed to. Black and blue and Carolina Craw have been my best color choices. I set my mother up with one of my baitcasters and a chatterbait and she managed to catch a good bass. Her very first time using a baitcaster, too.

I was in Anchorage Alaska last week and saw that they have a great answer to combat litter. They put out containers made of PVC pipe to put fishing line in. Better than throwing it on the ground. Ship creek was far cleaner than what I’m used to sorry to say.

Good Job with your first Chatterbait fish you should also try some swim jigs you can finesse them more than a chatterbait. I know this is an older video but it appeared in my feed and helps prove to how amazing the chatterbait is. I highly recommend the Jack Hammer chatterbait. It's even better than the original, instant and harder thumping on the retrieve and just gets bass's attention. The quality is even better... it's pricy but worth it. I haven't had to use any other lure this year using it as it's got me every single bass I caught this year. Thanks as always Alex for keeping it realistic!

Hey, when you use a paddle tail for a trailer on these, rig it upside down with the paddle (toe of the boot) pointing upwards instead of downwards. Better action. It's just a fluid dynamic thing.

My first chatterbait fish was about a month ago lol, I cast over some thick branches in the water, and as soon as that chatterbait fell down from my side of the cover, that bass killed it! I’d say a good 3lbs!

I love love love chatterbait fishing! My scariest catch, the chatterbait got hit 8-10 feet from shore, I was totally not expecting it. I find I get best results casting as close to parallel to the bank as I can get with out catching branches, unless there is cover that I know about or can see. As for chatterbait fishing, my tacklebox is overflowing with them and I carry a separate bag of unopened ones, in case I start losing them.

I’ve found with the pond I fish most that the bass prefer the chatter bait fished like a Texas rig, dragging it along the bottom just barely enough to get the blade to shake. Not sure why, but it does work pretty well!

Chatterbait is still my favorite! I like using a white fluke trailer with white Chatterbait...in dirty water, I use black & blue Chatterbait with a blue Yum U-tail worm as a trailer....they get results!!

I used the same setup the other day. Brand new bait caster, first time with a chatterbait. 3rd cast caught a huge 24" almost 8 lber. I lost another slightly smaller after that and later on caught my first bowfin. Idk why I waited so long to try one!

Try a ribbit frog as a trailer for a chatter bait , I’ve caught multiple bass over 3 lbs using it and even a few in the 6-7 lb range ! Favorite fishing KZbinr , keep it realistic !

Hey I have that same chatter bait I like the yum pulse as a trailer I cut at the third rib back and it does amazing same thing for swim jigs love your channel man keep it realistic. Side note go catch a bass right out from under those boaters noses they hate that it usually gets them to leave also
