Do you catch these on spinnerbaits and rattle traps as well ? Have you tried that ?

These hybrids will eat pretty much anything thrown into the fast white wash and current. Jerkbaits, swimbaits, topwater etc

@@JohnnyP_outdoors summertime can be tough but fishing the morning and evening is usually more productive. Spring time is in my opinion the best time with cooler higher water levels. These fish love current and oxygen and will literally be in the meanest fastest current you can imagine

I don’t think you could kill a hybrid if you tried these fish are built different. Now a Musky or Pike.. that’s a different story. They are super sensitive especially in the summer months

No problem!! We catch our own chubs with minnow traps or hook and line in the creeks! Have fun!

Why the open/close bail thing at the end of the cast and start of the retrieve?

The current would take the bobber and if you didn't open the bail the bobber would get taken under..so give the bobber slack line so it could float

This is probably about 3 hours from Cincinnati. I do often visit southwest Ohio! I mainly fish the GMR and its tributaries. good luck on the channel man! my best advice is to keep uploading and getting better at putting together videos.

I mean I fish HEAVILY pressured areas for the most part. Public land and hardly ever private. I advertise our great fisheries and show opportunities for anglers of all ages.
