Avalon King Armor Shield is the real deal. I ceramic coated my daily driver 21 months ago and the water still beads up like it was just waxed. Mud, dust, salt, even tar comes off with a 5 minute hose down. But it's good for more than cars; I have successfully used it on my tool box, some drywall trowels, and even on my Tudor watch.

Bad application ... You just wash the car befor application. You must do decontamination, polishing and remove wax and grease before ceramic coating

Calm down dude.

You do have a point though, decontamination before painting/applying anything is very good practice.

@bat detailing & valeting Hi sorry this is so late. But was wondering the proper order. I was thinking, start with wash. Then clay bar. Then buffing for paint correction. Finally a wax layer or 2. And then lastly the ceramic coat? Thanks either way!
@rorymulcahy81442 жыл бұрын
@@julianbryant1115 you have the order right but you don't wax before ceramic coat there's no waxing at all because if you did that the coating will never touch the paint with a wax layer on top... when I do it it has to be a 3 step machine polish for best results...and with the coating you only have 1 chance to put it on otherwise if you get high and low spots you'll have to wet sand it.

Always wondered how this was done, thanks.

Great video, can you recommend any polishes?

That's better than the clear coat they put on at the factory

Are you just ceramic coating the hood or all the painted surfaces??
@daletroy35154 жыл бұрын
Ceramic coating DOESN'T prevent scratches FYI

First time I've heard of ceramic coating , nice one
@userbosco2 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't you clay first??
@Schmitzelhaus Жыл бұрын
Yeah, or polish, or degrease it. Also a ceramic coating barely gives you any scratch resistance. And wtf he means with "sometimes it will even last longer than the original paint" is completely beyond me. I mean, you put this stuff onto your actual paint, how could that even work?! 😆 I highly recommend to not repeat anything from this video and go search for a proper guide on how to do this.
