How to change a catalytic converter on a Mazda CX-7

In this video i show you how to change a catalytic converter on a 2010 mazda cx7. i use a lift in this video to try to get you the best angles possible. but, this can be done on the ground. i highly recommend picking up a set of extractor sockets to be safe. have fun enjoy the video

Hi quick question. After you install the new cat. Your first reading of 230 degrees is after cat right? then the 350 degrees reading that’s before the cat? thanks

No the 230 is before cat 350 is after the cat. Reason for this is the catalytic converter when working properly will have higher temperatures after the cat. No sorry, this video doesn’t have that. the cats are different on the turbo version.

Do you have any idea why the mph won’t move at all but the rpm does?

Are you talking about while in drive and moving? If so check my abs video i have. If you have trouble with both wheel speed sensors it could do that. Any other symptoms or lights?

@@JunkyardJunkie los catalizadores tienen un número de serie y los puedes vender dependiendo el modelo, te pueden dar hasta 10 mil pesos mexicanos por un catalizador

oh ok mis disculpas. tengo que usar un traductor y no siempre es precisa en la traducción. pero, sí, aquí vendemos nuestros convertidores catalíticos por una buena cantidad de dinero. reutilizan el material dentro de ellos
