I'm working on removing the high pressure pump, and your video is a life saver. Finally, I have a confirmation that it's not timed and that I got all the bolts out, and it's normal for it to not come out too easy 😁

Really great video thanks! I've got an oil leak that I suspected was the vacuum pump (got a new gasket ready to go on), so good to hear you say it's a common fault. I replaced the thermostat last year and definitely the hardest part of accessing this area is dealing with all the pipes, hoses and wiring loom. Very helpful to see an engine out of the vehicle so you can show where everything is!

Great video, I'm going to change the thermostat on my Renault espace. With the same engine. Seeing that the vac pump is not so scarry is good. 👍👍

When re fitting the high pressure pump, would pumping the hand pump near the fuel filter be sufficient or would I trap air in the lines ? The seal has gone and is leaking oil down the back of the gearbox.
@southwestinjectorremovals8932 Жыл бұрын
No that would be fine. Pump the priming bulb until it goes hard.

Ah that explains it. Really sorry I can't really give good advice on Iveco engines. They didn't make many of those and I've never come across one.

Hi Martin, desperate for some expert advice, i have a 2008 traffic 2.0 dci. It's been laid up for 12 months cos of injector fault, thought it was time to get it sorted, fitted new battery and found starter would not crank engine. Bought new starter and fitted it(what a pig of a job) went to start and again starter sluggish wont even turn over engine. Checked engine was free, turned it over by hand with spanner on crank, fitted another new battery just in case 1st was bad still wont turn engine over although sounds like starter is turning but not the engine, have you any advise please, thanks Paul.

Any tips for doing the glow plugs? I've been spraying penetrating oil on them recently to help free them up, but do you have any advice? Also any good ideas for access, remove intercooler and top of bumper assembly?
@MrLilygreen3 жыл бұрын
The only advice I can give is be patient, yes soak in any lubricant is good and just work them back and fore but don't move them to much to quick
@dirtjumper233 жыл бұрын
@@MrLilygreen thanks for the reply. I actually did them a few weeks ago and they all came out fine! Sprayed them with penetrating spray a few times over the week prior. In the end I didn't even take the front end off, the access is fine once you remove the intake hoses and shift the fuel lines and loom.
