So i have a question for you. I have a 1995 camaro, it gets to 235 when the ac is off then the radiator fan cuts on and cools it down. Keep in mind 260 is overheating. However when ac is on it doesnt even get close to overheating. So idk what the problem is and it's getting close to winter so im going to need heat. Any suggestions? Ive changed the thermostat, sensor, no cracks in the radiator, im at a loss for words.

the fan is commanded by the computer to open at 235 in that car..sounds normal

my car is suddenly overheating spewing hot water out of the radiator my mechanic says air intake valve or idle conrol valve im stymied my water pump is not making noise and the fan for the radiator does not function cheked fuses, switches, relaysfor the fan. can some one please give me a hint and make my day?

what if we remove the thermostat? better cooling?

That depe ds..for a newer vehicle they are designed to run a certain temp both for fuel economy and for emissions. ...also cause ur heat to come in uch later..u want the coolant to remain in the radiator for enough time that its cooled down..thats a reason why racers run restrictors in place of a thermostat

hi i see you helped alot of ppl maybe you can help me ..i changed radiator,water pump,check my relays and some other things but my fans will not kick on only if i put a.c. they won't kick on i know they work cause i hooked them up to battery just to see if they did and they do please help i have a 96 camaro 3800.
