This is easily the best video of an Audi A4 B8 engine air filter change. Head and shoulders above all the others. Well done!

Thanks. Replaced with a K&N Reusable filter and saved over having the shop do it as part of their $430 Level one Service!

Thank you. What intervals is it recommended to change the airfilter? Also wouldn't it be better to use a vacuum cleaner instead of blowing the debri all over the engine?
@brkbt933 жыл бұрын
that is not good. Unless is k & n,m filter, you should never try to clean your old one. Why ? because all the dirt is stuck in the filter and by blowing it with air u won’t take all dirt and u will make it loose and possible to suck dirt in the intake. Go with new everytime.

Does anyone have a tip to get the stuck white lock (at 0:45) to slide back on the MAF sensor connector? Thanks in advance please.

We recommend blowing out the latch itself, as shown in the video.

Would this filter cause the P0173 code?

We do not have such information, we recommend that you consult your mechanic

*Why doesn't the mechanic use a vaccume nozzle to suck in the dust and grit ? Instead of blowing the stuff everywhere 😐?*

Thank you for your comment! In this case, it is enough to blow with a compressor gun. Best Regards, Autodoc team

I changed the air filter and then my check engine light came on. Does anybody know why is this and how can I remove th light if its a filter change result?
@autodocuk2 жыл бұрын
Without proper diagnostics it is difficult to say something, we recommend contacting the service.

Remember to tighten everything well. If that pipe to airfilter is loose, it can cause check engine light. That happened to me one time.

This DIY is for the B8.5, not B8. Inspite of being similar, it’s not the same.
