Done many driveway break jobs, and agree that rotor will not be an issue. that tire scared me more than the worn breaks, the belt not the bubble. I poked a knife into a bubble like that and wore the tire out with only a slow leak put air in about every ten days.

I've owned probably 10 FWD 4 banger imports between us and the kids. Mostly 90s models and a couple of early 2ks. They always ate the front tires. Used to rotate them every 8k or 10k just to get a little more mileage out of them although it probably meant the set of 4 lasted a little less.

Instead of using screwdrivers and a new brake shoes use a c-clamp it works better

I searched what kind of brakes the 2012 Civic has, it said they are drum brakes? Mine is a 4 door LX, would that make a difference? Brakes Plus wants to charge $100.00 per drum/disc if they need to be turned..... is that normal? Holy ****!.... I'm going there today to get them checked out. Maybe I can learn how to do it at youtube university...that would be nice!! Thanks for the video!!
