I had very similar horizontal stripes on my Brother 2170W, and followed all these directions. Unfortunately, the stripes were still there after cleaning, but I noticed that if I printed more pages the stripes began to fade. After about 200 print jobs (reusing the same paper) the stripes disappeared and the print is now clean.

Also had that problem. After that i cleaned the big roller he pulls out and also cleaned the smaller roller below. Both with isopropyl alcohol. But didn't give instant results. Then i changed the drum with another one and the stripes were gone. I have 2 of these printers. I want to fix the other one too. It gives almost a instant paper error while there is no paper error. The only part that made a difference is the big part he 'repairs' in this video. When i changed that all is fine but i think the paper error is because of the part he repaired in this video. I think it has something to do with electrical connections on the right side of this.

Don't buy this printer model for quality print. You should buy cannon brand printer for quality and durable.
