I noticed when you moved the wheel I can hear disc rub again at new pads. Initially to correctly align the caliper you must press brake lever and half turn each caliper bolt to no more than 4 to 5 nm torx wrench and when pushing piston back it's always safer to open bleed nipple quarter turn and allowing old hydraulic fluid and air to expel maling it easy to reset piston. Then just too up with fresh fluid as necessary and every 12 months hydraulic fluid must be changed completely. Great video we all learn in time

Great Video!!! Only thing I would add is that you don't need the plastic tool to bed the pads... they will just work when you seat them in, and there's no reason why they would not get equal pressure from pistons. So no need for that plastic tool. Also keep in mind that because you are not changing pads along with rotors, they will need a few miles of riding to bed into the rotors/discs since the discs most likely took on grooving from the old pads you just removed. Be sure to clean rotors with brake cleaner too before final assembly.

Good video. Though I now have to let out some steam... why the heck did they go away from the V-brake system?! it was working perfectly and easy to maintain as well. Now I have a disk brake, and all though I have lots of downhills, one would think disk brakes would last more than 2-3 months before wearing out in need for replacement, which is seemingly harder on my bike than on yours as I have to completely remove the wheel before replacing the brake (back wheel is a pain as mine is electric and has a motor on it...). Honestly , what the heck are these good for?

it is hex socket, for use w ratchet, you can use just hex tool....Sears, any automotive stores....

Very helpful, however I'm struggling to put the pads back - my piston seems to be constantly in almost the "braking" position, and won't really retract, always keeps coming back even if I apply pressure with something like a screwdriver. Pushing down on the brake handle doesn't really reset it either. I've struggled and could barely put the new pads in, and even then now they grind very badly against the disc. Tried calibrating it a bit, got it to something like a hissing sound, but the pads still touch the rotor quite a lot. Maybe I should try removing and reseating the whole thing? It kinda seems like I broke or bent the spring and now it won't let the pads (and so the piston) retract by themselves. Any ideas? Also, could you by any chance make a tutorial on how to bleed that one particular brake model that you've got? Mine's pretty much exactly the same down to the tiniest details and bolts and everything.

You can get inside by squeezing the brake to open the Pistons back up and clean behind them with a q-tip and peroxide then push the calipers back in
