For a 2012, is there only one fuel filter? No water separator filter like the 2013+?
@matt-diy Жыл бұрын
As far as I know yes.

How much fuel do you lose when draining? I loosened my drain petcock and after about a gallon of fuel loss, I tightened it back up. Am I missing something? Thanks

A gallon seems like a lot, maybe a half gallon drained from what I remember, make sure your key is off and not pumping fuel.

Just curious but i followed all the steps and when i start my truck, fuel is leaking from the housing. Do you have any ideas what it could be?
@matt-diy3 ай бұрын
Not sure, maybe your cap is on wrong or not tight?

Shouldn’t you prime the filter first? Soak the filter in Diesel?
@matt-diy Жыл бұрын
Might make first start up a little easier.

I fill the canaster up with seafoam after I install the new filter. Then close it up. Fires right up. let run a few mins and shut it down so the seafoam can sit in the injectors for a min.

You don't have to do that on the Ram. Cycle the key roughly 10 times to put power to the fuel pump, which will fill the canister. Will take a little more cranking than usual as the air is bled from the system. But after that it'll be fine
