Your video was spot on. I needed to replace my low beam, watched your video, purchased the replacement bulb and it took me less than 30 minutes to complete. Thank you! Your video is GREAT!

Thank you so much for the video. I just did this a couple hours ago and I can tell you, the hardest part about this jobs is lining up that cap on the housing because of the lack of space and light. Took me like 20 mins and a few pep talks to get it locked. It was worth the effort though 😩😣😖

Thank you for this video! I changed my bulb in about 15 minutes, and saved a couple hundred bucks. The hardest part for me was pulling the splash shield out from under the fender, but it pops out with a trim tool. Much easier job than I thought it was going to be. My car unfortunately does not have the circular access panel, so this video was incredibly helpful.

Your video was a huge help for me and it saved me some labor fees if I would’ve taken my vehicle to a garage,. I appreciate your graciousness for the help you provide.

Out of all videos I have seen this was the best by far. Just removed the cover around the wheel only enough to get my left hand inside and changed the bulb. It was that easy. Thanks
@Redneckinahat Жыл бұрын
Yep didn’t even need to remove the wheel. Glad it helped ya out
@CA-lk6fd2 жыл бұрын
Lots of other videos show removing bumper cover, this way is not bad at all. My son wants to upgrade his (16’ Terrain) my wife has an 18’ Acadia, those were really easy, nothing to remove. I knew there had to be an easier way than removing the bumper cover. Like we say at work, “You gotta be smarter than what you’re working with.” Thank you for taking time to post this.😎👍

Some years they had a removable cover in front of the wheel. Not sure why they didn’t do that for all years. Glad this helped ya.

Getting ready to do this myself. Thanks for the tutorial! They always say don't touch the bulb so I'm going to wear cheap latex gloves.
@judsonterry66442 ай бұрын
Cheap latex gloves like hospital gloves are just as bad as using your bare hands. The gloves from the parts store are powder free unlike regular latex gloves. 😊

TIP: On a 2014 Terrain, don't bother trying to pull of the cover in the wheel well. You can try, but probably won't be able to move it enough. There's actually a circular panel you can take off in the wheel well (1 screw holding it), and reach your hand in there. At first glance, it looks like it doesn't access the lights --- but it does. And the bulb wires *will* be long enough to pull straight back and access through that panel. I tried the other way before I discovered that removable access panel 🙂
@Redneckinahat2 жыл бұрын
You are correct but if you don’t have the access hole you need to pull out fender splash guard to get to headlight. Thanks for the reminder

It looked easy. First I couldn't get the fender splash too much out of the way. I could just barely get my hand in. I had to feel my way in. I got the round cover off easy. The bulb came right out. It took an hour to get the new bulb in. Then it took two more hours to get the round cover back on. But I got it. 3 hours. I think it's better from the top as another video said. You can see what you are doing.

I still can't believe how they engineer stuff these days. It's just so that you go to the dealer and they can rip you off on simple jobs and try to upsell you on more expensive jobs.
@mikeferretti74225 ай бұрын
Does the terrain not allow for led bulbs? I went to swap with led but they are too long so the dust cover won't fit back on.
@judsonterry66442 ай бұрын
No because they are compliant with the laws. It's actually illegal to use led headlights they are only allowed for offload use only.
