When should springs be replaced on a Golf 4? Is this done after a certain number of kilometers or maybe after a certain number of years? Is there a noticeable indication to the driver of springs that need to be replaced before any potential cracks, breaks or other sudden failures occur? Are they typically a lifetime part?

It is practically impossible to determine wear at the initial stage, however, the first of the symptoms is a decrease in its length, which will characteristically affect the vehicle’s ground clearance. @@autodocuk Thank you for the reply and all of your great videos. Please consider making a video focused on the Golf 4 coolant pipe replacement. This is the pipe that is typically known to crack. If you make this video, it would be helpful to include all of the maintenance necessary to facilitate replacement of the pipe, including removal of the bumper and removal of the radiator. I believe Golf 4 owners would appreciate this as one of your future videos.
