Taking out wind shield wiper cowl is less than 10 min job with good tools. No need to take out intake manifold. ;)

awesome, thank you so much!!!! The windshield wiper resevore is also VERY easy to take off. However, I have a threaded spark plug, so I need to take the upper manifold off also to give me a lot of room to see. Change the spark plugs yourself!!!!! I took mine to pep boys and they stripped a spark plug with one of their power tools

I'm not separating my intake on a 300k km engine, no way.. but thanks for telling me about the wiper cowl method because I was just going to sneak through everything with a pivot ratchet setup and possibly a camera, haha. Still might.. I'll give the thumbs up for the info 👍

I just picked up a 92' Dodge Caravan with 42,000 miles on it and am doing routine maintenance to it, Looks like I have a lot more room in mine to reach the back plugs, just looking at videos for a refrence guide.

@Sharing the vanlife We where told its been sitting in a garage since 95' an older couple bought brand new then the husband died and she never liked driving the van "too big for her" she said.Her son is the one who told us about it so I assumed she was going to put it up for sale then another year or so passes and my pops said he drove bye the house and the garage was open "first time in 10 years driving bye this house" and he said it looks nice so we go up there I asked her if shes willing to sell it she opened the garage that was it completely rust free the metal gas tank "which is none for rusting and gas tank straps rotting out still had overspray from the paint job and a few patches of scale rust,no rust on the under carriage still in the grey primer and the body was perfect we pulled the side molding/trim off the body to check for rust under them and nothing perfect white paint. I said hell yeah just under 43,000 miles and started up first pull.She said give me $700 for it I said no I'll give u a $1,000 now was getting my wife to like it I pulled in with it and she loved it White an grey 2 tone with black interior.She calls it her tank.We restore muscle cars and it kinda pissed me off that my 1 and only "barn find" was a 92' Dodge Caravan but the wife loves it and still drives ut today.She said she gets guys occasionally who will say "holy $#it thats an old one or thats clean for its age". I had to tell her they where talking about the van not her.I live in the "rustbelt" of Ohio so this was a find around here.

Not necessary to remove upper intake just remove rubber tube between air filter box and intake and reach passenger side of engine to get back 3 spark plugs. I did that on my 2001 Dodge Caravan 3.3 litter engine took 1 hour to charge all 6 spark plugs and spark plug wires

I do mine the same way as you. I have no problems at all. There's even room for a short blow gun to blow out dirt around the plugs.

What???? I tried going in from the drivers side with my left hand and GOT MY WRIST STUCK DOWN IN THERE Today I'm gonna try again by removing stuff to make room.

I use 3 inch extension 5/8 spark plug socket and flex head ratchet

so much easier to remove the wiper cover/motor housing....6 screws on the plastic and 8 bolts on the motor bracket, one plug and one tube 10 minutes tops

I have done it both ways. I prefer my way. I just dont like removing that big cumbersome windshield motor and assembly. I will admit that removing the windshield motor and assembly gives you much more room to work, but I don't believe it is any easier or faster. Just my opinion. But I do agree with you that way works as well. Really the fastest easiest way is to use a tall guy with skinny arms, and then you dont have to remove anything but the wires and plugs. So true. You get the plugs from top or a simply jack the car up so much room from the bottom. !
