Thank You Erin for doing this video. The only thing I would add to your video was showing how to separate the filter from the cover (if it doesn't separate when lifting the cover) as it was coming up with the cover and had to be seperated. I saw another Dyson Video and they showed that process. Overall Good Video.

Thanks for making this easy Erin! I wonder though, did you unit ever create a smell like when you open a tin of paint? Faint, but unmistakeable after an hour of operation. Dyson said it was a known issue of glue heating and off gassing...which is kind of the whole point of why I had one gifted to me in the first place!

I have the same fan and the same error! But I replaced the filter and on my app it says 99% life left. I’ve tried to take it off and put it on a couple times but I don’t understand why it won’t work. Hoping you could help! I didn’t see the ring of death go away in your vid so I figured i’d Ask. Is it super touchy?

Thanks for the vid. I wish you would have shown how to reset the filter alert. Another YT video showed how to use the app. I was able to use the remote to reset the filter by holding down the on/off button for about 10 seconds. I tried loading the app but it couldn't find my device.

Right!? And I can’t find anywhere to help, let me know if you managed to fix it. I had it happen after I checked the filter right after buying it🙃. Dyson support didn’t help much and there aren’t many videos, hope you can help😅

This fan is rubbish! The humble Box Fan (without filter and the price tag) does a far superior job of cooling down any room. The noise this machine makes is also annoying and it uses Way more energy to run. This product is like any fancy dream designer product.. they LOOK really cool, but are costly and Actually don't work as the manufacturer promises. But if you bought one, Sucker !! (like me) Although I am selling mine on ebay as I don't want to add it to Landfill.
