Ahhh...I knew this was possible. I don't use Clip Studio, but I started wondering "hey, what if I just draw out a crummy pencil drawing...do some mechanical vector line "inking"...but then change my line brush to something with a little more style. This is exactly what I was imagining. I think in Blender, you can add randomness to it, also, for the pen radius, pressure, jitter...all sorts of stuff. Anyway...cool beans.

Hi Shyfoxx! Your tutorials have helped me the most. Especially the Draw Along With Me ones. They really helped me understand where to put layers and folders; also clipping and merging. Do you have more of these on your patreon? Also do you have an explanation of the Remove Dust sub tool in the Correct Line tool?

could you do a video on the ideal resolutions for printing vs posting?

I definitely want to. But to answer your question simply, use 90 DPI for internet use and 300 DPI for print. Hope this helps!

I tried this trick and it worked for me, but there is a problem. When I select the G Pen brush, the line looks pixelated. Even without enlarging the image to 100%, it looks like a pixel art drawing. Do you know if there is a way to fix this problem?
@Shyfoxx4 ай бұрын
Are you drawing on a really small canvas or low resolution canvas? That's the only reason I can think of that you'd see pixels.

I love your tutorials! Currently learning anime-styled digital art, just wondering if it’s possible if you can make a tutorial for anime hair styles and coloring? It’s my current struggle right now, I followed your eyes tutorial and absolutely loved it! Thank you!

You can click the single line with the object tool. 👍

Thank you so much for the tutorial! Edit: I tried it multiple ways and as well as the pencil brush seemingly acting like another random brush, when I convert everything to vector, no matter how I try it, it is so excessively crunchy and somehow blurry at the same time, like an old jpg meme that's been downloaded hundreds of times. I dont understand how it could possibly be this poor quality. So is one like allowed to draw in vector layers, just not convert to them? Once I changed everything to vector layers and selected the brush shape I wanted to use, I picked pencil, because that was unironically what I wanted to use, but it's not acting like the pencil brush. Drawing with the normal pencil brush, it has that obvious pencil texture. When I changed the brush shape to pencil though, it just made a very blurry version of what I already had. I tried other brush shapes, and all of them are as they should be. Dunno what I should do, I tried messing around with it and it just won't give the pencil affect, but all the other brush types work and look like their brush counterparts lol....

It sounds to me like you might be drawing on a canvas with low resolution and small size. Perhaps try a larger canvas. Otherwise I'm not really sure what your issue might be.

help..my brush shape and size won't come out, it's locked and turn all grey. why?
@Shyfoxx6 ай бұрын
Perhaps you're not using a vector layer? Is the layer locked?

So this is kinda unrelated but I found this video when I tried to search up my question, so I figured I'd ask someone directly Does anyone know if it's possible to set all burshes to be the same size when flipping between them? Like if I'm drawing with my pencil and swtich to my eraser, or when swtiching between two different types of pen brushes, then they'll all remain at the same size instead of having their individual sizes? (I.e pen 1 has size 25 while pen 2 has size 10)
@Shyfoxx10 ай бұрын
I definitely understand your question and as far as I know, this isn't possible. Never seen it done and never seen a feature for it. I can see why it would be useful! I've gotten used to adjusting per brush anyway. That said, it could still be possible, I just don't know anything about how to do this. All I can recommend is hot keys for changing brush sizes when switching a brush to be quicker.
