@@Amsudgdhdubdi I felt mentally exhausted a year ago. I'm not sure if our situation was similar but I had a boyfriend, friends, and family members who constantly reinforced a negative self concept. They would treat me as though I was stupid, overly sensitive, unattractive, undesirable, untalented and pretty much just a loser overall. The first thing I did when I decided I wanted to change who I was is cut them out of my life. My mind started not to feel so heavy anymore because I didn't have to constantly fight against the negative thoughts they were putting into my head. I only had to deal with my own negative voice then and that was a lot easier. I'm wondering if there are people in your life that make the mental work harder.

@@marybell2002 that is so very kind of you. I am feeling a lot better now but yes it could get better with some people's changed/improved attitudes. The fact that it is all me pushed out infuriates me further.

I find that doing positive affirmations throughout the day helps break negative concepts in my brain. As soon as negative stimuli pops up I end it right away and go to the positive in myself. Welcome to this community and thank you for sharing your experience here. One new technique would be to try to uncover where the wealth issues come from.. Try to identify what you are feeling about wealth.. ie not deserving.. you can't have what you want.. wealth is only for others..then ask "when's the first time i felt ___way" the more you uncover the belief.. the easier it will be feel something new bc you can re-reason.. In regards to ME and depression.. what does it mean to YOU? what is the meaning having ME and depression for you? Who does that make you? What are you capable of? What do you deserve? The more you dive into the meaning you are giving those things, the more you can liberate yourself from the current story and get to the experience you want to have! I hope this helps!

I didn't believe that I had a negative self concept until I realised my romantic/non-romantic relationships always turned into shit after some time. I knew that I could get a guy to fall for me no problem but then I had this self concept of somehow fucking it up or they lose interest and the relationship becomes dull. Same thing when it came to friends. I always imagined all the women wanting to be friends with me but they all turn into snakes who talk behind my back and so I never really had a best friend. I didn't realize this is how I created my reality. It's fucked up bc I could've learned about this a decade ago.

Another great video Abby, thank u ☺️ I was wondering if it’s really important to look for your limiting beliefs - eg I am manifesting health and I never thought of myself as sick (consciously at least). Wouldn’t it be more beneficial to flip every negative thought into a healthy one and ignore the root of this belief/ cause?
@AbbyRuston
@AbbyRuston 3 жыл бұрын
Imagine you have a garden. The negative thought is like a weed. Even though you can cut the weed off on the surface.. ie change the negative thought.. the weed still has a root system that will endlessly sprout up again and again.. changing negative thoughts takes energy. The deep rooted weed is taking up space that could be occupied by fruits and veggies you want to grow but can’t bc the weed is there. The weed is also taking your gardens resources from other plants that could use them to grow more. When you get to the root of why that negative thought is there. That experience is the key. If you shift the meaning and re reason on it. The root system is gone. You can then choose to plant a belief that is alignment with what you want. Hope this helps

May Allah ﷻ bless you sister in humanity! When I as a Muslim want something or need something, I supplicate to Allah ﷻ and more often than not, out of His grace He allows me it. We're told to ask Allah like we're children asking our dad for a toy we really want, we'll do anything to please him and ask Him over and over. However, it is evident that even the most enlightened beings had nothing like Buddha, Muhammad ﷺ, Jesus (PBUH). The secret is they were content with The Source ﷻ of reality. Rather than enjoying fleeting gains that "externally" trigger emotional responses, they built a relationship with The Manifest ﷻ, The One who is The Source of all of these pleasures, seeking inwardly. When I hear a phrase, or am thinking about something, it always manifests outwardly if I pay close attention throughout my day. This is the reality of "supplication". Except, I believe The Source of this reality is God. Our individual perceptions of reality are all just numerous angles of experiencing The Infinite ﷻ from which reality is manifested by a concoction of His names which are labels of parts of His essence.

Realize your beliefs are fueling your thoughts... So if you continue to have the same thought pattern associated with a certain situation, place, or person, start to ask what belief you have about yourself.... @@AbbyRuston Sure! This has happened both in relation to my business and my relationship - that I've been in a good flow and everything has been functioning steadily, and then I suddenly remember that I'm an active creator and agent in all of it, and my brain immediately creates a fearful/'negative' thought, and right after that several clients cancel or I find out that my partner has done something slightly hurtful - these things are never super serious, but the immediacy of the thought-event parallel stresses me out. I would want to be assured that even if I have an intrusive thought, it doesn't have to change my reality so immediately.

When you change your self concept you change what you can see in your life bc your brain is what sees your world. not your eyes.. so when you start to shift what you allow your brain to see by shifting old beliefs of yourself and the world.. and when you can start to feel safe having your needs met and experiencing what you want in life. By changing self concept and your concept of others... can you manifest a closer and stronger relationship with a person of interest?(my case a friend who doesn't currently see me as I do). What would be examples if possible? Thank you:)
@AbbyRuston
@AbbyRuston 4 жыл бұрын
jared struyde Thanks for your question. Realize that the world is a mirror. Is it possible that the reason your friend doesn’t see you that way is because you don’t see you that way? Begin to ask yourself what self concept would someone need to have to have this experience... this can also help you see yourself more clearly. Once you have that clear vision of how you really feel about yourself.. Do you feel rejected by your friend.. do you feel ignored? Do you feel your friend is better than you? You can ask when you first felt that way.. a child? this is going to bring up the original experience that caused this fragmentation in your subconscious. Which is why you need the reflection from someone else.. you have forgotten about it and they are you helping to remember via the universe. Perhaps a family member or authority figure made you feel this way.. When you are able to go back and give that awareness and let yourself know that’s no longer what you need or who you are.. you will then no longer experience that with other people. As you change this concept of yourself.. you will either no longer have that dynamic with your friend and things will shift… or it could be that once you see yourself differently you will no longer care how your friend see’s you and not be interested in that any longer… I hope this helps!

The first thing I'd look at is if you had a parent who you felt this way around.. they may have acted differently but what you'd want to look at is the attention was on them and not you and how that made you feel as a kid... 2) The 2nd thing I'd ask you to look at is if you feel comfortable being seen. Previously my own answer would have immediately been yes, but it took years of dating emotionally unavailable people to realize I was actually afraid of being seen.. 3) The next thing I'd look at is if you feel worthy or deserving to have your needs met or if there is a story or energetic familiarity that you never get what you need and no one ever cares about you.. Do any of these resonate? if so, I can expand

So that familiar energy of having to fight for your needs to be met and fight to be seen.. possibly even trying to convince the other person you are worth it.. this is what you'll have to start to become aware of.. when you are doing it.. Just to be clear you are not causing those outside of you right now to treat you this way, in my perspective you keep attracting or are attracted to the energy of your past.. and as you heal it, you will shift your energy and attract more emotionally available ppl.. So how do you do that 1) Start to see it's the same pattern.. start to become aware of when that old feeling is happening and that lil kid who was powerless starts to come up.. it's really important that you develop some somatic soothing practices(just google that or youtube that term and lots will pop up) so that you can step out of that energy and calm your nervous system.. what is happening is your body is responding to the past and then you feel that same old way.. so as you learn to become aware, calm your nervous system and step out of that... ask.. how can i best take care of myself right now? How can i support myself? What do I really need right now? 2) When you are in a calm place, start to look back to your past from your adult mind(not reliving) and see how you were treated was not bc of you.. nothing you lacked, nothing you deserved.. those around you lacked what you needed.. not the other way around.. you are worthy and deserving and always have been.. that early on treatment confused your sense of worth and now you can clear that confusion with your reasoning. I highly recommend somatic therapy if you have access.. The reason is your body and mind will fracture when something too heavy happens so you can cope.. so you'll need to bring that energy back together and process with the tools you have now that you didn't possess when it happend. 3) Start to shift your view of yourself and start to become emotionally available to yourself which is to start honoring your needs. If you are like me.. i would think what I need is that persons attention.. this kept me stuck.. what i needed was to see that person didn't have the capacity to meet my needs.. I wanted connection but my attention being so much on the other person was emotionally abandoning myself. This playlist can help you start to understand emotional abandonment bc that is what really broke the cycle for me.. see the pattern, shifting my perspective of myself by seeing my past different, and learning to step out of the old pattern in the present moment. Hope this helps kzbin.info/aero/PLGAWDJ2HpYI7SsZPrB3f0KyoIyY7WDuja

@AbbyRuston
@AbbyRuston Жыл бұрын
I can totally resonate. I have used food in the past as well. It felt food was my only friend and as a way for me to feel comfort.. and sometimes as a way to fill the void of pain inside. but it never actually worked and i would always feel worse about myself afterwards but it was all i knew for a long time. The somatic movements can really help you with the physical soothing and help you regulate your nervous system. You CAN learn to value and love yourself and gradually see yourself differently and raise your standards of how others can and can not treat you. No one taught you to value yourself so that is so confusing to a lil kid and creates a distortion that they have no value.. when really they just need help learning. I totally resonate with a low value of self.. i valued myself so little I was in a physically abusive relationship and went back again. So rather than judge or shame myself, I decided I needed to change bc for me If it got worse, I could die. So it was really hard to choose myself bc I thought that meant being all alone, but that first step in choosing myself and authentically being there and learning to connect to myself was actually the first step towards the authentic connections with others i so longed for. I learned I could only connect with others to the depth i could connect with myself. YOU ARE A WONDERFUL CREATION OF THIS UNIVERSE ❤️ Here is a more recent abandonment video i did that may help kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHzQi2achK-NgtE

Why do I get bad feelings when I think about positive things? Or when I think about the my desires in positive way?
@AbbyRuston
@AbbyRuston 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question. You could feel bad about positive things bc you have a deep feeling you can't have it or that it's wrong to want.. try to identify what the feeling is.. the "bad feeling" is it shame.. or guilt? What words do you hear? It's wrong to want that? you are crazy to want that? you'll never get that? You aren't good enough? You aren't ___? As you dive into the feeling, you can then look for when you first developed that idea.. how old were you? Who taught you? This isn't your innate belief.. you learned it which means you can UNLEARN it! The power is yours. As you take power away from that being true, you can invest it into beliefs and assumptions about yourself and your life that support how you want to live! i'm rooting for you!

@@AbbyRuston thank you!! It’s mostly a hurt or betrayal type feeling. Like I’m working against something/someone that doesn’t want me to have it. I frequently have dreams where whatever I do I can’t get where I want. Like the wrong sides of a magnet pushing the other piece away. Simple things too. Like brushing my teeth or saying a known word lol. I’ve definitely improved in this area and my self concept is changing and those feelings are lessening. There is a victim type feeling. When I rest in it and observe, it goes back to before my memory. Like a passed on belief or something happened as a toddler. There’s usually no words but there is a sense of wanting to fight against others. As if they are the ones keeping me from desires. There is a sense of people pleasing or looking at another as my source. I do believe I’m on the right track and I focus only on my desired self concept. There are times where the old self concepts pop up and try to take over. But I realize that’s just old energy. Thank you for helping become aware and become more focused!!

I know this is an old comment, but I wanted to say that you are exactly describing my own experience. Same feeling, same type of dreams, same pre-memory cause, everything. A therapist friend of mine mentioned to me that many people of my generation have this persistent feeling, caused by the breastfeeding advice that was given at that time to our mothers. Mothers were told by "the experts" to just cut off breastfeeding cold turkey, and let the baby cry themselves to exhaustion for as many days as it took for the baby to learn that that source of comfort and bonding was never coming back. It was exactly as damaging as it sounds. In fact, for a baby, it's traumatizing. Although food is still being given (a bottle), the warmth, the bonding, what the baby perceives as love and support has been withdrawn suddenly, for no reason that the baby can understand. This absolutely affects how we see the world from then on. When my friend spoke about this, I honestly didn't know if that had been my experience, but it struck a cord in me. Later I asked my mom (a weird thing to work into conversation, I did it when we were talking about a friend's new baby) if that had been how she weaned me and my siblings. Amazingly, she said "no, just you". The "expert" advice had changed by the time my younger siblings came around. Coincidentally (or not), my siblings have no trouble expecting and receiving the best in life, I'm the only one who has struggled to feel worthy. I'm sorry to write a huge essay and tell you my whole life story, but I read your comment and it sounds like the same or something similar may have happened to you. The great news is that you CAN rewrite this experience, even though it was pre-memory. You can revise it, using Neville Goddard's techniques.

write down what new concepts you want, eg im a master manifester, people always respect me, i have it all. then repeat those affirmations in your head throughout the day, or while youre sleeping or as you wake up, i suggest literally just repeating them for HOURS throughout the day, because its a new state youre entering, totally opposing your old one, so yeah repeat them throughout the whole day so they can stick, repetition is key & once you see those harden into a fact and actually showing up, i suggest moving on to your manifestation(s) fyi, im just a teen who is into law of assumption, this is just what i do, so take my words as a grain of salt, so maybe try watching youtube videos or neville lectures to clear things up

One way is to you use your current life as a way to see what your current self concept is.. ask what you’d need to think and feel about yourself to have these reflected to you. Then think about what you do want reflected.. money, career, relationship? What would that version of you think and feel about yourself.. be that person NOW.. begin to shift your thoughts and feelings to be the origin of your reflection. Make choices from that version of you. The biggest thing is to monitor your thoughts.. don’t let thoughts slip by your awareness. Become a master of self observation. By observing who you are now will show you where to make changes ❤️

This is a good topic but I’m almost 12 minutes in and you’re still talking about identifying the false belief (& it’s not really “false” because nothing is objective so it’s just a perception that doesn’t benefit us), but you’ve spoken nothing about Changing the belief. I’m still waiting... “Use your imagination and feel it” + gratitude (14:00) is on the track of an actual technique to Change self concept/belief but it’s not specific enough. This is pretty much what I find everywhere. What really works? Writing out a bunch of affirmations? Imagining yourself being treated differently? Nothing seems concrete enough or powerful enough for lasting change.

Maria G Thank you for your question. I can understand your frustration because when you want to change your life and there doesn’t seem to be an absolute plan, that can be irritating. One of the things I’ve learned about change is we will all have our own unique journey with it. Your feedback will help me to make better videos in the future so I appreciate it. With that said, let me see if I can better clarify. The first step to changing is to realize YOU are creating the life you are wanting change from. This is what people usually miss. They continue on believing they can’t change because something outside of them is causing their life to be what it is. Second step is taking responsibility of that reality…Only when you take responsibility that your inner beliefs(self concept) is causing your external experience can you then choose a new belief(new self concept) that will therefore send out a new electromagnetic signature into the quantum field of potential and choose a new experience. The third step is to bring in new awareness. The change comes as simple as becoming aware of what you think. What is it you are thinking so many times throughout that day that it has slipped beyond your conscious recognition? When you begin to become so aware of who you are being that you no longer wish to be, you can choose a different behavior in the moment.. the the 4th step is adding neville’s technique of living in the end.. you will replace those thoughts with thoughts of the you who you want to be as well as what it feels to be that version of you . your ‘dream life”. If you only spend some of your day in those “dream life” thoughts and the other part of your day you continue to let the old self concept play out, you will never have lasting change. This is why we see some people start to lose weight or make lots of money only to “sabotage” themselves.. really they have allowed their own thoughts to reinforce their old way of being. When you master what you think on a daily basis, how you act at every moment and how you feel consistently, THAT is when you will have true change. The universe is a mirror. It has no choice but to match what you are sending out.. Since your entire state of being has change, your entire reflection will be different as well. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions

Abby Ruston thank you for your response. I’m on board with everything you’ve said and I’ve experienced this consistent holding on to my vision of myself, ignoring anyone/thing that conflicts with it and things do change! My big stumbling block is OLD FEELINGS that seem trapped in my cells. They come up ( or the thoughts come up first-don’t know which) and the anger comes up and that sabotages everything. I can’t feel hopeful about my future/ present in the face of people I resent. Just being honest. I try meditation, EFT, and other techniques which work to a certain extent but not fully. One thing that does help is getting into a creative flow with something, like a website I’m working on... just getting into the moment creating. Anyway thank you for your feedback! I’ll save this video.

Maria G I appreciate your openness. You are right. These emotions are trapped in your cells. Have you done any somatic therapy? What you are doing is a great start. You being honest about your anger is also good. Your anger is still trying to communicate something. There is a deep pain there. Possible it is the continuation of the addiction of the anger in your life. You can ask when is the first time you felt resentment towards someone? When is the first time you felt that same anger in your body that you feel now? Did you grow up in a situation where adults around you were angry constantly? Possible anger equates to safety. Ultimately healing that will free you of all that energy to invest in your future. These ideas are simple, that does not mean they are easy. What you are doing not many people do. It is brave work that requires courage. It is difficult to be in the trenches of your deep negative feelings and not know what to do.. to stare at the parts of yourself that can be hard to look at.. however this is when you really get to choose acceptance of yourself and move toward the future you want. Only when you cut the anchors of you past.. What is fueling that anger? Does it give you a sense of authority? Perhaps it makes you feel better about yourself if you make someone else wrong? I ask this because that was my situation. I used to blame everyone and easily get angered at them. The issue I saw later in life was that I was so insecure that I had to make them wrong because my self image couldn’t hold that blame. I had to put it on them. So it made me feel a little bit better. The frustration I had continued to spin because my body became dependent on those releases of energy. I can understand anger. Do you have a current physical outlet for it so the energy can move as you work on discharging it? You are not alone and you deserve to live the life you envision!

One thing that really worked for me was a specific type of journaling exercise. It sounds cringey, but basically you write a letter to the concepts or areas of your life that you want to improve. For me it was money, love, luck, my body, plus more. For some of them, you may need to write more than one letter, maybe multiples over the course of years. This helps you to actually SEE what beliefs you're holding, and addressing the concept as a person (Dear Luck, etc.) really helps in negotiating a better "relationship" to it. This truly makes changes. The very first time I tried it, I wrote a letter to money. It started out combative, but by the end of the letter I was saying things like "but actually that's not your fault" and "I really like you and would like to have more of your presence in my life." Just hours later I got two new clients, out of nowhere, for a business of mine that had been utterly stagnant for months.
