I just bought a PS5 and I’m playing Astro but my battery needs charging so I plugged the cable in and when I press the PS button the battery icon is flashing and empty it’s not showing like it’s charging? I turn off to rest mode it charges the flashing orange lights start so I can tell. any idea why it’s not charging while it’s on?

i think it pulses orange if its charging AND in use, i just bought a dock for mine and it went orange once, just like in this guys video, but if i use a usb-c to charge while still playing, it pulses every 2 secs EDIT: I've just read it doesnt start charging if the controller has over 80% battery still, this seems correct with testing

I bought a PS5 to play Rebirth and I must say it sucks. it's odd AF that it doesn't charge while gaming especially playing on PC. Rest mode and Game mode should be one in the same so you can charge and play... so what happens once the battery is not able to charge anymore? you buy a new one...
