Are u saying there’s no dip stick to check transmission fluid level!?!?!?!?! That’s nice to know! Exactly why I liked the older cars! Some of these new concepts suck!

I really think the whole purpose is to get you into the dealer, so they can charge you. They say it is because CVT fluid expands more because it runs hotter, so they don't want you to overfill it, but they used to provide dip sticks for many Nissans with CVT's, so I don't buy that story. They want to make it difficult for the average person to check the condition and level of fluid on their own. You have to raise the car and open a plug to check the fluid. If nothing runs out, it needs filling (how much who knows). If a lot runs out, it is overfilled. If they were that concerned you check the fluid color and level, they would not make it so hard. Even my service station didn't want to bother.

This helps. I was looking for the atf. I thiught thats where it was, frustrating that theres no way to check on my own. Imagine if it ran out. Happened to me in another car, not fun.

No. It should be changed every 30k miles. If you think it's low you can add it and then on the trans case there is a 19mm bolt to take off while it's running and it will drain any excess.

Her showed you. But it has been 9 months, so I'm sure you already figured it out. Unfortunately, all the videos people put up on KZbin show what we all already know and leave off the important fill levels. I finally decided after watching levels on a number of videos to put the coolant between the minimum and maximum, right at the break in the two sides of the reservoir although the manual says to fill it to the maximum line. With the brake fluid, I think it is at the line, but the reservoir is not entirely clear, and I do not see fluid when I take off the cap, so my fluid may be low. It is really hard to tell, and I don't want to overfill it. It says a light will go on if the brake fluid is below minimum. Same with the windshield washer. It is hard to see any line. Also, he and the cap say Dot 3 for brake fluid, but Nissan gives everything a different name and makes it as hard as they can to make sure you are using the right fluid if you aren't a mechanic.

I don't know which fluid you mean, but you unscrew pretty much all of them.
