Overall this video has breakdown the understanding of the make up of ebike(s) and their essential features and choices for food riders or leisure riders. I appreciate how the flow of interaction is natural and info presented by Mr Chew is clear and professional, not too techinal for ppl who are new to ebikes. Thank you both for your effort.

E-bikes in Singapore cuts so many corners like not having many usual parts which a normal bike should have ( Mud Guard, Suspension etc.), just to fit in the legal weight of 20kg. The frame of the bike is not the best quality in the market and yet the pricing is way too expensive to begin with. Options is so limited that it is a joke that the sellers only excuse-it has to fit in the legal limit, the buyer has to accept the bare essentials of a e-bike with expensive pricing. Any knowledgeable buyer would just dig a bit further would know that some overseas e-bikes can not only meet the our legal laws but even surpassed it with pricing way cheaper than what is sold in Singapore without customers getting the short end of the stick.😖

When you ride a bike, your flat sole of your foot should be on the pedal, not the bridge (middle) of your foot, like you were riding! .... so your toes should be on the pedal.

I am tempted in getting an ebike but i have 2 questions which i am curious about, 1stly as of 2022 how safe is ebike as in with all the LTA restrictions is there still cause of concern for the ebike batteries catching fire? and 2nd, from my understanding ebikes are not supposed to be on pedestrian footpaths but on traffic crossing (cross juction) can i use pedestrian crossing to safely cross to the left?
@teohontech71412 жыл бұрын
All ebikes have to be certified for safety so safety should not be much of an issue. But it's best to unplug the ebikes when they are fully charged. Many of the ebike fires were due to charging overnight, and for some reason the some chargers don't stop charging even when battery is full. As for using pedestrian crossing, according to law, you're suppose to push the ebike. But I don't see many riders do that though

@@teohontech7141 how about heavy downpours? are the battery compartments allow water to seep in over time and cause short circuits? Thanks
@teohyc3 жыл бұрын
@@seanseah333 Not sure about heavy downpours. Anyway, you shouldn't ride in heavy downpours even if the whole bike is 100% waterproof. It's too dangerous. With water in your eyes you can't even see properly because you're not wearing motorcycle helmet. And it's going to be extremely slippery especially when you go over metal grills or covers.
