We love surfing nice mellow waves with our longboards. Where can we find these kind of waves in March in the Maldives? Any surf charters available?

@@EleanorJiang Hey Eleanor, thanks for the message! March tends to be best in the Southern Atolls, but unfortunately the domestic flights required to get down there has a surfboard length limit of 7'2. How many people are you?

Great insight Simon. I’m thinking of the trip in April. I’ll have my FRK+ and the red tiger both 6’4. I’m debating on what to bring on my 3rd board. I have the flow stick 6’8 but thinking it might be abit big as would like to get the db travel bag 6’6 only but it is an easy rider as you put it. But having the two boards mentioned at 6’4 is probably slightly bigger for quite a few but I went with something with abit more volume. Any advise would be welcomed. As the red tiger is different from the frk I was thinking of getting frk swallow. In your opinion do u think they are all to similar. U know a lot more than me and have seen my surfing. I know it might be a dumb question 😅but

Hey Trev, good question! For a level 3 surfer, I would say these boards are all going to feel quite similar and cover the same sort of wave range. For a pro, sure, they're going to feel the differences. But for the average Joe, I think you're going to want to have more differentiation in your quiver. All 3 of my boards here are completely different, have a completely different job and cover a different set of conditions. If you went with the FRK swallow, you would essentially just have 3 performance shortboards designed for pretty much the same conditions. All great boards, but not much range! I think the Flow Stik would be a much better choice for your 3rd board in this situation.

@renegadesurftravel hi mate I did think that and started doubting myself. I have the choice then of either the flow stick or seaside and beyond 😀 thanks that has helped.

@ sooo looking forward to that nice warm wetsuitless surf. Not sure that’s a word 😂 I’ve decided to get a red tiger to bring in order not had it yet as a back up for my frk+ or might even be my first choice board. I’ll probs bring the form 6’8 as an easy board or the seaside and beyond as that might be better. Battling with myself lol 😜 even been thinking have I booked the right level if I should have gone 2/3
