you failed to mention the fact that a clay mit/towel is NOT an abrasive like a clay bar, therefore it doesnt damage your paint like a claybar. Also if you are clay barring your car, you must do a correction after with a polisher as the clear coat will likely be marred. You dont get this with a clay mit, and therefore they are ideal for those who dont have a polisher, and will apply protection by hand without any correction.

You're more than welcome to keep the vehicle wet prior to the iron removal treatment, I personally find that iron removers perform a bit better when the surface is dry because they're higher concentrate and able to penetrate the surface better

I’ve done the iron removal before I wash even if the car is dirty but it’s dry. That way my wash step will 100% remove the iron chemical rather than just rinsing after the wash

Hey I am 14 and have started a car detailing business recently.I have a client coming in soon that has lots of water spots and iron decontamination. They are going to get a Clay and seal package with iron decontamination, should i wash the car, dry it, remove the water spots, and then do the iron remover and clay mitt or would some other order be better?

Why you running a business if you dont know what you are doing? lol im sure by now you do know what you are doing but for those who read this, the process is Wheels and arches - rinse, wheel cleaner, hand agitation, rinse, correct (if necessary) then protect. The body work.. Prewash Snow foam hand wash decontaminate paint correction paint protection Any of the water spots could be treated indivudually post the handwash, but there are now products like Car Pro Descale that you can use in your lance/bucket to do the washing stage with.
