Hi Eric, you legend, my suzuki dt 15 wouldn't idle so had to choke at every start and clunk into gear fast to get going, not ideal, I did what you demonstrated and it's like a new engine, idles like a sewing machine, I'm so happy (cause I suck with mechanical stuff) took 40mins, Thanks man :)

Dt15a wouldn’t idle. Followed the steps (twice). Turned some adjuster screws. Carb cleaner everywhere. Thanks for the video. I still managed to damage the central jet and just left it in place.

hello green horn here lol i got a 8 hp dt8 1991,,its tarted ru n great idles ok but the water pee hole was not not pumping then would then steam ..i shut it off ,,checked the thermostat it was no good ,,i then put the housing back on and ran it again with on thermostat ,and nothing came out ,,so i have orderd an impelor kit ,,hope thats it ,,i am 70 never done anything like thid before but it looks easy ,,you vids are perfect thanks

If that gasket on the float bowl is not working properly will gas flow leak out of it while the motor still runs properly?

Do you know how to set the top adjuster screw on the carb? My was messed with and I don’t know what to set it back to

Nice video. I'd recommend if you're going to all the trouble to pull the carb off and clean it to replace all the gaskets while you already have it apart. Especially on a two stroke. One small air leak can really mess up the engine.

Hey Eric, I watched your video on how to clean a suzuki carb. i have acquired a 1979 Suzuki dt20. i have set timing, cleaned carb, new spark plugs, and new cdi unit. for some reason at idle my motor bogs and stall it will only idle when I am at full throttle but the rpms are low. when i disconnect fuel line from tank the motor idle fine and revs up. when i re-plug to fuel tank motor stalls. I am wondering if its fuel line problem. The guy who gave it to me has 5/16 from tank to primer bulb and 3/8 from primer bulb to motor. not sure if this is the culprit. please help a fellow fisherman out. thank you

Hi Man liked ur video.. i have a old suzuki 28hp motor its the blue with the white cover ontop... think its a dt28 1981.. my problem.. when i put in foward gear its good.. when i give throttle more then quater it seems to be smothering or missing... it wont go seems to die if i leave it open to see if it mite come right... can u maybe please give me a tip for it to work please? thanks
