Since ur tightening it, I assume it would be clockwise

So he slows the slow ass version of taking the carb off but speeds in up 4x and mutes the rest. I know I can slow it down but this is still very terribly made

Hi Matt, i recently bought a 2009 Kx250f and am having some problems with it starting, running under its own power, and spitting and sputtering when at about quarter throttle. The person i bought it from told me he adjusted the valves about a month ago and cleaned the carb at the same time. The only way itll start is if im giving it throttle while kicking it and hoping it turns over. Any ideas or recommend i try anything? Thanks!

Double check all "work" PO has done. I have a video on KXF valve adj, so make sure to check that out. Then, take the carb apart and clean it. I have vids on that as well.

I have a 06 Yamaha YFZ450 that has been sitting for a couple of years and has idle issues and only runs in the 1st pull out on the choke. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Matthew, i have this same type of carburetor on my WR250F 2001, a Keihin fcr 37mm i guess you have. Either way, i took it apart, i took the bottom and top part but ALSO the middle part. I mean there are still screws on that carb you did not took of, inside there is a pretty complicated seal, which was completly destroyed in my case. As i could not find a new on internet i managed to create one with seal paste. My question is, have you ever opened that part ? Do you know where we can find seals for this part ? And any advice maybe ? Thankssss !

Google "fcr mid body o-ring kit" and you will find the gasket you need. Don't use a seal paste.

I have an 09 crf 250r, I just got through doing a bottom end rebuild on it. The bike is really hard to start especially when hot. When the bike is running and I give it a little throttle and let off the Rpms don’t drop like they should, it just keeps revving up. I noticed when i turn the idle speed screw down the problem with the rpms not going back down would go away, (the rpms would go down like normal).The last time I went to try to start the bike I could not get it started, it’s always really hard to start.The fuel screw is screwed out as far as it can go and I have a 48 pilot jet in there. I’m thinking that I have lean condition, maybe a vacuum leak? Do you have any suggestions?

Yes, you sound lean. Check for vacuum leaks and operation of the hot start. Verify hot start plunger is not frozen.
