My Dad was a butcher early in his life. Taught me all he knew on butchering livestock to wild game. Lessons learned are a invaluable necessity whether living on a farm or city life. Watching your how to brings back memories for me. Glad you show how it's done so PEOPLE interested can learn a valuable lesson from the things we eat and how they are processed. Thanks Robert. Leaving them in the fridge keeps the lobster in good shape alive and frisky. It doesn't put them to sleep. To answer ur question most people in Maine will drop them rite in live I do not I take a knife and dispatch them as fast and humanly as possible. As for cleaning them no just straight into the pot. I also take the bands off the claws before I cook them. My father always did because he said if u didn't it made the meat taste like rubber. I've had it with and without not much difference.

Been in Alaska for 7 years now, I've eaten plenty of moose meat but have never had the pleasure of rounding up my own hunt. One of these days I would love to get my hands in there and process one. The meat is some of the best you can eat.

Not being a hunter, I find it fascinating to watch how you “dress” the animals. The process seems to be the same for all wild game with slight variations, but nonetheless the same. The meat looks delicious so I tend to almost drool when I see the meat prepared. Thank you for showing non hunters what it is like to hunt, skin, and prepare the animals for human consumption. You demonstrate a skill that will come in handy in the event of an emergency. I’m taking notes 👍🏾😀
