Your voice and words are very very dependable. It is clear you are a real user of clay pots and someone who has learnt all this from watching others handle it. Thank you so very much.

Can we use baking soda/lemon & salt for cleaning the clay pot after consuming the food as wood-ash is not available in our daily urban life?
@sathviklifestyle2 жыл бұрын
Better to use warm water to rinse .In case you want more clean use gram flour instead of baking soda.

Can we use something else in place of soda...from where did u buy it
@sathviklifestyle4 жыл бұрын
Baking soda is available in almost all grocery store and bakery. That helps to remove the food smell.

It is very useful but dnt u think it consumes more gas
@sathviklifestyle4 жыл бұрын
Yes, initially it consumes more gas to heat up and then less gas is required as clay retains heat for longer duration. Cooking in clay pot gives positive benifits on our health, taste will be definately good.

I was going over your instructions again. Kindly tell me why should we not heat a wet clay pot? For me natural tendency is to rinse the pot before setting it on gas...so it is wet :(
@YoginiPatil2 жыл бұрын
Hi. From what I know, suddent extreme temperatures can make clay pots break. since its wet/damp it will be cold and then putting it up on fire will be sharp rise in temperature. I experienced this when I used a cup of milk (ceramic) straight from the freezer into the microwave and it cracked. I also have the habit of rinsing everything before using, cookware included. But you gotta be careful, I suppose.
@sathviklifestyle2 жыл бұрын
By heating wet clay pot one can get cracks or breaks in the vessel because of sudden change of temperature. Only after complete drying heat it.While washing also ,only after complete cooling pour water.
