Thanks for sharing this video Paul. Bit of advice to anyone who is thinking of buying one of these and thinking this device will do miracles... IT WON'T clean old unreadable coins up like new, It won't clean polish or restore anything. There is nothing on the market that will do that job for you, once a coin is damaged its damaged and nothing will bring it back. I use this device purely for cleaning the crap off my finds and nothing else. Hope this helps.

It cant make old coins new again, or wont repair damage, that is bloody obvious. However this machine is around 40 quid and is RUBBISH!! If you want one that will actually really clean your coins, buy german, pay over 250.00 for the very most basic model and you will be happy.

Your using soapy water, try using ultrasonic solution

There is. There’s a lot of polishers and cleaners. Also this needs a chemical cleaning fluid (and water)

Vinegar and water works great on coins. You can shine up coins if you use elbow grease and a brush made of the same metal as the coin. Copper to an american penny can make a 40s penny shine like new after ultrasonic cleaning with vinegar.

They do work fine, however, I use the reverse elec. method for cleaning most rings and coins (it works better). Ultrasonic cleaners are superior when it comes to cleaning chains.

ive seen a few of these videos now and they all have pre-filled baths but with WHAT? is it just warm water? is is soap and water? is it a special cleaning fluid?

The best thing for cleaning silver and half silver and clad coins is salt and vinegar for copper just vinegar if you think you knackerd that six pence up put it in salt and vinegar over night and give it quick rub with pan scrubber in morning will come up like new

Try using muriatic acid in the machine. Diluted maybe 50cc

Hey brother.. constructive criticism if you can take it. Never rub your coins with any thing always dab with cotton soft cloth the grit on your coin scratches it and then your coin shows the appearance of being cl e and improperly and then t you Re stuck with an upgradable coin that no one wants to buy or trade. You are better off leaving it the way it was or purchase a real ultrasonic machine. That one doesn't operate at the proper kHz for nothing but sum plastic toys I e: dildoes

CLR "calcium, lime, rust remover" instead of water would be better.

Use masks, breath NONE of that and never get it on any of your skin. Vinegar and water works great, no toxicity.

@@timotyfinlayson9963 Ask my dad who had med problems with it. We switched to an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and vinegar & water and have the same results. Coins after he buffs them with brushes made for each metal type after the vinegar bath and cleaner run has them pristine on almost all of them. He knows his coin cleaning/collecting.
